This is an awful take. Why not say the entire Power 5 coaches need to up their game. They ALL passed with a scholarship offer right?

Yes and that kid sent out video to a ton of schools. If you watch his HS vids he is tall, has great pocket presence, and launches the ball with ease. Very strong arm. How did guys like Saban and Meyer who he sent video too just blow him off? Your comment is dead on. All the kid had to do was visit and throw a few. NO BRAINER

The coaches are not in the rating business.
As the fired Miami coach said, he took all
of the highest rated players he could get
and he got fired using that strategy.

You seemed to hype the Mr. Florida title so why would high ratings not matter if rewards do? Last year Saban won a title and OSU finished 12-2 with Barrett so its not like those teams could do much better.

Tall? Isn’t Baker Mayfield just barely six feet tall? Correct me if I’m wrong but I saw him next to a Russell Wilson in an interview walking with Russell and he looked maybe the same height-maybe 1/2 inch taller....which would make him six feet tall...
