Look for X to be dismissed.0

Everyone remember when Yogi was a sophomore and got arrested Little 5 weekend? It was a week away from his 21st birthday. Everyone knows excise police are in town then. Fake ID , goes to Roy’s, gets turned away because of course they know Yogi, then tries to sneak in a side door. Was Yogi a poor leader? Kids are stupid.
I do remember that, but assuming he wasn't driving home afterwards, trying to get into a bar with a fake ID is pretty standard stuff for a college kid. He didn't endanger anyone else with that decision. 90mph on Walnut with other people in the car is a deeper level of stupid. It's not unforgivable, but it's not really comparable to Yogi's stunt.

going 90 on Walnut is not bad compared to the normal college kid at the same age is my point. If he was drunk and going down a one way, like Hanner, we have something to be concerned about.
Lmao. Let's see him try to lead next season. I'd tell him kiss my ass trying to tell me something on the floor. He's not a regular college kid. Do you even watch spider man? With great power comes great responsibility ring a bell? And he's supposed to get NIL money? Again.. Lmao!

Then why did you bring up role models? You asked if X is a leader? I presume you asked that rhetorically as a person with his off court issues could not be a leader on the court. I gave you an example of a person who had off court issues but was able to be a tremendous leader on the court. And he was certainly no role model.
Cav stated that he was a role model. I stated that his behavior on and off the court made him not a role model. Pretty simple.

X's latest NIL deal.

Not arguing that… just arguing stupidity. Being the most recognizable person on campus, giving a fake ID to excise, getting turned away, then still trying to get in again. Practically begging to get arrested.

You think college kids who play basketball, his teammates, are going to go hold this against him on the court?

And if you’d pay attention you’d know he’s not interested. Maybe you should read some other boards to get that info.
False. He wouldn't have been able to play PG at IU, so the fit didn't make sense. We now should have a PG spot opening up, so it would make all the sense in the world.

Ok. So you are OK with him not being a role model and playing dirty, but his off court antics are not acceptable. Yet you then question is ability to lead in another reply. Cannot a player lead a team without being a role model? RMK seemed to do it. Self seems to be doing it. Coach K seemed to do it. And they were/are the long term faces of the program, not just a 2-4 year player.

Felony charges are really serious. Again, I don’t think it will stick, but X is kind of in deep shit relatively speaking. They are going to have to lawyer up at least a little bit.

Again, he’s 23 and IU does not need this BS going into year two. Grow the F up X.

Don’t disagree at all. I don’t know what I’d do if I am Woodson. Lots of other circumstances and team dynamics we know nothing about. At the least he’d be suspended a good number of games, plenty of running, those drivers Ed classes they make you take, and community service.

I don’t think X is a leader, and that’s fine. Some guys are meant to follow. TJD should be the leader.

RMK Coached in a different era. He would have never been allowed to get away with a lot of the things he did and how he coached.

I would argue that Coach K is a role model.

Same thing. There is an Indy kid that is the top transfer in the portal that could replace X should they send him packing.
Who, one more time for the people in the back, is NOT interested in IU. And it’s NOT just that our backcourt was crowded. Keep telling yourself that.

You have no knowledge of that. There are also many other players available. We don’t even need a starting PG with JHS coming in. Plenty of solid potential backups as well.

I’ll just say he has an issue with another player. You don’t even know what school he goes to and obviously don’t know what I know or don’t know, he will likely end up at PU.

Why don't you think X is a leader?

And BTW, the only people who can say X is a leader or the leader of the team are the players in that locker room. Neither your opinion, nor mine, matters.

90 mph in a Dodge Charger
In most jurisdictions that is reckless driving which is way more serious than just speeding. A poor decision from one of IOU's senior leaders who should know better. He could have been a Captain next year.
Okay, just compare all of his seasons with what has come since and tell me why I am wrong.
And, we will never know if things would have worked out better IF IU had kept Mike Davis another year or two.

Leaders don’t act the way he does on or off the court. You don’t have to be in the locker room to see that.

Pretty sure you were there one arguing we had to have him back when all we knew was he faced felony resisting arrest charges.
Nope… that was my only post regarding X. I’m shocked by the witch hunt mindset that says he has to go. These posters losing their shit over a a stupid traffic violation and really dumb move to talk back to the cop. He’s 21… we all pulled stupid stunts at that age. No booze, no drugs, just a dumb mistake that kids his age make. And we want to run him because of it? I don’t think so .

You are the one with BS information. Why don’t you tell us your source?
You’re the one that has no clue. Like I said you don’t even know which school he went to. Once you figure that out, maybe check with someone there…

He has a felony charge. It’s not just a traffic violation.

Lol see we all knew you were just making shit up.

Tried to force another student to say he was driving? If true, I think that would be the last straw. Don't feel to sorry for him. He might end up at Kansas. Back to the portal!

Bottom line is he makes stupid decisions. The season has only been over about three weeks. What;moronic thing is he going to do next?

Woody is trying to rebuild the program in the image of RMK"s better half.
