Agreed that Myorkas is awful. Let's not forget however that Noem has been managing the smallest state government in the nation, for just 4 years. Now she will not only oversee the border (Customs & Border Patrol), but also ICE, the Secret Service, and FEMA.
Based on this, is she really the best person willing and able to take this job?

Noem has no large scale law enforcement experience. It’s obvious Trump’s picks are to advance an America First objective and other agendas.. That includes asking what benefit any given policy provides the United States. As far as immigration is concerned, Noem is way ahead of Mayorkas.

The indirect result is more power to the deep state. In both Noem and Hegseth cases, if they are confirmed, staff will do the actual hands on work.

DHS has 260,000 employees.
She has zero security experience but will oversee a massive Federal department with four separate agencies (ICE, FEMA, Secret Service, and Customs & Border Patrol) one of which is the same size as SD, three of which are much larger.
She has zero senior management experience at federal level.
Hate on the Dems and Mayorkas all day-He WAS terrible. But Noem is not remotely qualified for this job.

Gaetz almost certainly resigned abruptly so it won't be released. Tulsi has never worked in the intel community. She has passed on Russian misinformation. One example is that there were bio-weapons labs in Ukraine. There weren't and it's known now that the misinformation about that was generated by the Russians (it's an example listed in the article I linked elsewhere). She's also tried to excuse Russia for their invasion of Ukraine. How could she possibly be trusted to oversee our intel services?
