Why was there the, "Fire Painter" talk from your fan base? Now, I don't agree with them. What is your take on it?
Listen I agree there is no way in hell for purdue to fire painter that is not smart the guy has done everything at purdue has he has to bring in more guys who is more athletic and he is doing that

I can't hardly remember a lot about "1980."😮 I do recall a gallon of gas costing less than a buck and a half. And I'm thinking that was the year of the demise of the Ford Pinto and the tail end of the 8 track experience. The fax machine may have surfaced around that time and can't forget "Pac-man" (I'm pretty sure about that one. I was addicted). And the Rubics Cube became available on the shelves in the U.S. The only reason I remembered the cube was that my nephew kept busting my balls for one for his birthday. Lennon was gunned down. "Ronnie" was the prez. On a positive note: there was the "Miracle on Ice." But more importantly, the Joe Barry Carroll led PUkers was a Final Four participant. How'd I do?🤔

Archie Miller no longer coaches here, you won 7 of those against probably the worst coach we have had. He was our Hazell where IU won the bucket against you 4 years in row.
There is consensus among the pundits that Purdue's loss was the worst in the history of the NCAA tournament. Before beating number one seed Purdue Fairleigh Dickinson had one win over a team ranked in the top 300. I think they were ranked around 280.

It is arguably the worst loss in the history of sports. Tobin Anderson was a D-2 coach last year, and some of his players were D-2 players. The Northeast Conference is the bottom of D-1 basketball.
PU is fine with losing to FDU and being impotent and a joke at the national level. They will change nothing and keep doing the same thing. This is the path that they have basically chosen.
Not sure what being a D2 coach last year has to do with anything.

Part of being the worst loss in NCAAT history and possibly the history of sports. PU basically lost to a D-2 school in the NCAAT. FDU only made the tourney because Merrimack was D-2 and ineligible. PU is fine with this and won't change a thing.
Didn't realize D2 had anything to do with coaching ability. There are a lot of good coaches not in D1 that could be.
