Peegs only shows 3 visitors this WE:

Cameron McHenry, DL, Florida; Cash Herrera, QB, California; and Jamar Owens, Safety, GA. Herrera decommitted from Iowa and seems like a likely get. I'd like to see us get McHenry. Don't know much about Owens. Peegs says its between IU. GT, and UNC on him.

Rivals still shows Will Vala, and King Liggins, both Illinois TEs, but both have committed to Illinois. I assume they won't be here (?).

Looks like recruiting is really winding down. Peegs has a list of 12 guys who visited earlier who were "warm" on IU, and have not committed elsewhere. Perhaps we get 2-3 of them? They include Redding GA safety; Fuchs, TN OL; Favorite, SC CB; R. Johnson, MO EDGE; L. Fahey, CAL QB; W. Bryson, GA WR; Webb, GA EDGE; T. Johnson, VA WR; J. Guilford, IN WR; Reddich, NC S; Nagle, NJ DL; and Dickerson, GA WR.

If you know anything, spill it.

On the premie, Sammy listed McHaney, Owens, and verbal commit Smythe from Franklin, IN. He also added that some other visits are being kept on the DL.

Liggins and Vala aren't coming.

Smythe is also coming, but he's committed already.

Redding made a ln official last week. It wasn't advertised. He seemed to really like it.

Dickerson and Reddish are definitely long shots.

We had Lamar Keys, a Penn State commit on campus for an official last week, so you never know what will happen there, but I get the feeling Walker is ahead of him on the priority list. Guilford is visiting Ohio State this weekend. If they want a 5th receiver, he'll probably end up there. If they don't, we're probably in the lead.

I think we sit well for Favorite. This is also a big weekend for McHaney. We could lock him up, which if we do, I think we're done with the interior line. I think we'll take at least on more at edge, and possibly two if both Johnson and Webb want to come.

There's still work to do, but this is a good class and has the potential to be really good when it's all said and done.

He pretty much said long ago it was his dream school. OSU got involved late after they missed on at least 2 kids higher on their board. He was just waiting on that offer.
Ideally most schools would like to take a QB in each class. OSU has St. Clair in the ‘25 class coming in and Edmonds in the ‘27 class. QB really wasn’t a priority in this cycle but that’s how CJ Stroud ended up at OSU. Im sure Fahey wants to compete at the highest level but you’d think that they will have Sayin for the next two years. So he would probably be a rs Freshman backing up St. Clair for a minimum of one year and then competing with Edmonds the following year. That’s tough.. I honestly don’t think he goes there. Stanford or Okie St may be a better choice and if he performs, then hit the portal. The days of sitting for multiple years at QB and waiting for your chance are gone.

I agree with this. The shelf life on a recruited QB out of high school sticking with a program might be 2 or 3 years max if they are waiting their turn. The days of kids waiting till their junior or senior year behind upperclassmen is over.
