Lets be honest, I think IU needs to win every game all season (including post season). I think one loss vs OSU, shouldn't eliminate us from the playoff but if we lose to OSU and finish 4th in the conference standings (after tie breakers)......I don't think we make the playoff.I REALLY like Indiana's chances in the CFP. With Rourke at QB, Indiana is going to be a very tough out.
This week's game is critical because it's absolutely a must win.
I agree; and that's even more incentive for Cignetti to run the table!!!Lets be honest, I think IU needs to win every game all season (including post season). So really, we just need to win every single game from Sept through the end of January.
Will be an interesting weekend. OSU plays at Penn State. If PSU wins, then OSU is sitting at 2 conference losses. That puts Oregon and PSU on a collision course for the B18 title game most likely. If IU end with 1 loss to OSU, they are the 3rd team in the conference.Lets be honest, I think IU needs to win every game all season (including post season). And if somehow we pull the upset and beat OSU? 3 undefeated teams, wonder how tiebreakers would fallWill be an interesting weekend. OSU plays at Penn State. To be clear, I think we beat OSU. As long as Rourke is back and fully healthy, his long drives keeps our defense fresh and he scores pretty much every time we get into the red zone. Last weekend we ran it on the goal line every time because it made the most sense but with Rourke the playbook expands. We wouldn't hesitate passing it on 3rd and inches. To me, this MSU game is a -6.5 line without Rourke. With him I would genuinely put IU at -19.5 (me, not Vegas). He is able to impact the entire team when he is in by keeping our defense on the sidelines and rested. And if somehow we pull the upset and beat OSU? 3 undefeated teams, wonder how tiebreakers would fall
I can see it now, regardless of the already written tie breaker rules, if IU, Oregon, PSU all finish undefeated, the league and Fox will find some way to make sure it’s not IU playing in the BT title game. And if somehow we pull the upset and beat OSU? 3 undefeated teams, wonder how tiebreakers would fall
Throw those negative thoughts out the window, lol. How about we make this easy, OSU beats PSU this weekend and IU runs the table and gets to play Oregon in the championship? And if somehow we pull the upset and beat OSU? 3 undefeated teams, wonder how tiebreakers would fall
I don’t like O$U’s chances against PSU this Saturday, but really hoping O$U pulls out the win so we can then beat them, win out and get to the BIG championship no argument.
