This has such a striking similarity to the Musk Nazi salute.
Given conservative politicians have used actual gun sights in some of their political advertising and been defended on here, this overreaction is rich and hypocritical.
And 86ing isn't a synonym for murder or assassination.
Comey probably shouldn't have tweeted it but you know full well this is something MAGA would defend if it came from their side.

I suppose it could be construed that way if the crosshairs were placed on somebody’s head. Some deranged fool seeing that and triggering something in his mind to go kill that person.

It really is. But when your policies stink and your poll numbers start to tank this is the play. Stir up fake outrage. Dems are just as guilty of using that playbook in recent years. They lost the last elections because of shit like this. MAGA is doing the same now. We have no real leaders anymore.

Trump wasn't elected until way after both of those post. He wasn't "47" at that time. No one was. What if Joe or Kamala had won? Would this then be a threat to them?

Not only that, they’re not serious. They can’t successfully tackle serious issues, so they’ll make this a thing they promote they’re taking on for the next week or so.

I feel sorry for you. And the fact that you'll be indignant with that, and say something like "don't, I know exactly what I'm posting and doing."...makes me feel even more sorry for you. And one of the worst byproducts of this...whatever the hell is going on... is that every day things like this happen, and Trump and his admin fan the flames, it brings us one step closer to President AOC, or some other awful whiplash POTUS.
I've said it before, but I don't know how this dude functions in real life. He'd be fascinating to shadow for a day.
