IU/UM Prediction Thread

nope, they played that card last year, and the only reason was osu had 2 losses so they could justify it, if Michigan is 12-1 they can't.

And because Alabama and Georgia made the championship last year, they will play that card. Had one of them flopped in the first game, then yes, they wouldn't do it this year

Sounds like Michigan may be without a couple starters in the defensive secondary, but I don’t think it will matter much.

I’ve got Michigan 41-13.

I'm not so sure if UGA beats ALA. The question is would ALA fall out of the top four in that case, allowing MICH to jump them.

If the committee put in an Alabama team that lost its last game of the season and didn’t even win its conference championship over 3 other 1-loss conference champions, the current format of the playoffs would be destroyed.

If you have 3 Power 5 conferences left out of the 4 team playoff, in addition to a two-year undefeated UCF team, there will be an 8-team playoff and a brand new committee next year. Book it.

That's pretty much what they did last year wasn't it? Bama didn't even play in the conference championship. It's all a made for TV farce.

Not really.

Last year, the Big12 (Oklahoma), ACC (Clemson), and SEC were represented. The Big10 and Pac12 champions both had 2 losses on their record.

This year, if Bama and Georgia would both be in, that would mean that they would likely be leaving out 3 other conference champions who also have 1 loss like Bama, but have one more win than Bama.

Edit: assuming that the Conferences finish out how they should.

OSU had one conference loss and a loss to a playoff team. The committee said play somebody and you will be rewarded. Right. ND getting in and 2 SEC teams might be enough to blow this thing up. Hope it happens.

It won’t. SEC is highly overrated, and the world will find out when Bama trounces Georgia.

They also were blown out in both losses. In this scenario, Michigan’s one loss would be to a playoff team by one score on the road in week one.

Michigan can name a score and thats what it will be. penn state had the #6 ranked offense in s&p and had zero points and 110 yards with 3 minutes left.

I'll say 40-3 UM. No reason to run it up more than that.

There is some egg-on-the-face to spread around here. How many will come back and revise their guess...vbg. Still a loss, but heads are held very high tonight I suspect...
