Archie is very safe here. He’s got at least another 5 seasons. We will be very excited if he can get us to 7th in the league. That would be icing on the cake.
Zero heat on Miller’s seat, even among many in the increasingly apathetic fan base. He’ll be at IU at least through next year, regardless of the results.
Apathy will be thru the roof. There just isn’t any evidence of progress being made. Will be interesting to see how far the IU administration will let the basketball program fall.
Apathy isn’t increasing, at least not noticeably at this point. It’s been way too long. If you want to bang on the lowered expectations drum, be my guest. But, the time to fight that battle was 15 years ago.
I think you are correct to an extent. IU, true IU fans will care, but not to the degree they used to. I know MANY IU fans who still follow IU, but they are no longer passionate about IU. Speaking for myself over the past 3 or 4 years I no longer feel disappointed at a loss or excited about a win, as I expect nothing from IU basketball anymore. After winning the other night at Iowa I really felt little excitement as I had a feeling they would disappoint the next game. Guess what they did. IU has become a very boring and predictable watch. The women's team and football team are another story, I'm already looking forward to football, the basketball season can end now as far as I'm concerned. I've seen this movie before.

Eventually recruiting starts to suffer because they know the coach is eventually on his way out. Also, this is Indiana, just about any coach in the nation would come here for the right price.
If Dolson knows CAM ‘ain’t it, better making a move sooner than later.
I'm not so sure. At 5-5 and a NET of 89, and a 1-4 Q1/Q2 record, that's not really a tournament quality resume yet.
It’s not. I agree. But you have to factor in the darling of the ncaa component and no way the NCAA leaves their princess out of the dance.
I think overall interest in the program is declining, and I think there are fewer passionate fans than there used to be even a decade ago. Agree that this has been ongoing for two plus decades, but it continues unabated at this point.
AM is a dead man walking from a job perspective. He will get a C19 pass but he will be gone after next season absent some miraculous transformation.
Lots of donors calling for it this year but it won't happen unfortunately.
Scott is in a tough spot. A C19 pass is the likely play here but the risk is recruiting as you say plus a risk of apathy among the younger fans.
I won't be surprised if the waiting list for season tickets is gone or close to it. It will come back once the program stabilizes but the longer he waits the greater the damage.
I see it in my area. Folks who used to complain or be aggravated at the team’s performance don’t even watch anymore. Not only due to results, but our style of play and difficulty scoring don’t make for a lot of excitement.
It is what it is at this point.
Like you, I don't know the length of the list but I would not be surprised if it has declined. It would be damned near gone if Glass had done what I have called for the last four seasons and that is selling some of the 8K student seats to that that list.
Now they may lose the list and still have student seats empty for all but big games.

I don’t recall seeing as much IU shit (clothes and paraphernalia) on clearance racks when I was younger. It wouldn’t surprise me if they just start giving it away.

You're nuts. Plenty of good coaches don't play a zone. I don't know what you think "extended man-to-man" is, but who cares. Our defense has been better every year.
We have 4 guys on the team over 6'6", and another coming in next year. He brought in 2 grad transfers in 4 years, including a guy who is currently on the team. Juco guys are rarely impact players, so who cares about them? Anthony Leal shot about 25 3's this year before he finally attempted his first 2 pointer in the Iowa game.
If you are going to piss and moan, at least be honest about it.
