I have only played 27 holes thus far and I'm still trying to learn the course.
There are twice as many bunkers, the gorgeous greens are larger and the rough is challenging at this time. That said, the course rewards golfers for keeping their drives in the fairway and putting their approach shots on the greens.
Of course, there is more to a private club than just its course. It is so nice to be a member of a club that has a personable staff. I also like knowing just about every golfer on the course. Lastly, it is nice to be a member of a club that seldom has outside outings that prevent us from getting on the course.
Our course is going to close again in the middle of October so the staff can perform some maintenance on it. My guess is it is going to be incredible when it opens again next spring.
