The videos I’ve seen out of Israel today affected me more than most anything I’ve seen in my time on earth.
I don’t know how BiBi isn’t just in a blind rage right now.
They need to give Gaza and The West Bank 48 hours to vacate while IDF continues to go after Hamas targets. Then they should be flattened and brought under Israeli control.

What Hamas' plans and motivations are. What kind of intelligence failure this is for Israel, US, UK. How we're involved. What it means for Ukraine. Hard to imagine us seriously discussing any of those here without it devolving into a Trump vs Biden thing.
What we saw Hamas live-stream, I’m not sure I care about their motivations or their PR campaign going forward.

Why would you not care about the motivations of a group that launches a terror attack of this size in a region we are embroiled in?
I already know their motivations. We have done this dance before multiple times over my lifetime. Their motivations are in their charter.
As to @twenty02 point that Gaza has been a prison camp and nobody here has any geopolitical sense, pssh. Gaza is in a situation of their own choosing. The Egyyptian Arabs in Gaza and the Jordanian Arabs in the West Bank were offered, on multiple occasions, the ability to self rule. Their leadership turned it down. In the case of Gaza, they elected Hamas to be their political leadership. Yes, Hamas is a bunch of terrorists but they are also the elected representatives of the Gazans.
For the Israelis this is existential. I think they should fight until total capitulation of the Arabs in territory under their control. Only when they have been de-Hamasified should the war end. Gaza is run by the most true representation of the Nazi Party we still have on this planet. I feel for them like my Grandparent's generation felt about the Germans and Japanese when we firebombed and nuclear bombed their cities. They had grievances too and nobody gave a shit. Sometimes you just have to destroy the problem. Does that mean wiping out 5 million people? No, but it probably means putting the majority of them in a world of hurt.
War is supposed to be terrible. The Israelis failing to hit that rocket launcher up above because it is near a mosque or school is stupid. At a certain point the Arab civilians choose to be a part of that, choices have consequences.

They wanted death to Israel last week, too. They're are reasons for this attack, but you don't care to understand anything. Simply naming the enemy is enough for you.
We have more than 30,000 US military in the Middle East. We have them in Saudi, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, among others. Then we have 10s of thousands more in Europe, including naval forces in the Med, which all can reach Israel quickly. However, we'll not be sending any Americans into Israel. Israel will defend itself.
