This whole situation looks more hopeless to me by the day. How many Hamas have already fled south with the hoards of Gazans? Most of them? Where do Gazans go after the north has been cleared?
Too much restraint and the problem won’t be solved. Too little and 100’s of thousands may die and it’ll appear to be a genocide. The U.S. couldn’t clear out an insurgency that blends in with the civilian population in two decades of Middle East conflict.
How does the Palestinian desire for a two state solution grow at all after this?
Didn't Trump just say this week Biden is not the legally elected president? Worse, better or about the same as private citizen Kerry saying Trump would lose? I'd say Trump's statement substantially undermines the current Administration.

Yeah, I know and they also murdered and persecuted religious leaders after first taking over but Stalin also promoted the church for nationalistic reasons during WW2. Russian Orthodoxy was still very popular under Soviet rule even though religion was supposed to be illegal.

I hadn't seen that, that is surprising given the Taliban is very Sunni and Iran is very Shiite. Since we left, they have fought battles against each other. If they have traced it, they have traced it. But why would the Taliban give weapons to Iran that could be used against the Taliban? They shouldn't be that dumb, should they?
