Biden is refusing to stop this because it's an election year. He doesn't want to fulfill Trump's prediction in 2020 that Biden would get us into another war.
Biden is hoping the damage to our prestige and influence by not taking on Iran directly is not as big a hit to his election chances as it would if he'd get us into another war.

agree. but what does that look like? I think there is a big leap between killing their proxies and attacking Iran proper.
I would hit the intelligence, domestic security, and military headquarters that repress the Iranian people and train and supply the militias doing the shooting. That better serve the purpose than literally hitting Tehran.
Trump told the Mullahs that if they responded with force to our killing Soleimani that they, personally, would be next. And then they lobbed missiles at us after warning us about it to save face. Nothing after that.

Iranians aren't stupid - they'll go as far as they can until they meet real force. And it's time to inflict some pain on them, although that should have happened before Americans started getting killed. It's a little late for the soldiers and families who have been killed by Biden's appeasement.
