Hoosiers

I had no idea Kamara has another year. That’s great, he’s one of the best defensive linemen in the country.

He's got another year, Ponds has a couple years, Fisher has another, Ferrell has at least one.

Our defense is gonna lose both starting d-tadkles, Carr, Walker at backer and both Asburry and Jones on the backend.

We're gonna hit the portal again this off-season for sure. I just hope people don't come to conclusions because of where they come from.

We control our own destiny at this point. Just keep winning and we don't need to worry about seeding.
Iowa State losing yesterday was huge for Indiana's chances of making the playoffs, assuming IU goes 11-1. The worse case scenario for IU is a 1 loss ACC team or Big 12 team, who's first lost was in their conference championship game. We're now down to only two teams, BYU and Miami. We need them to lose a game before their conference championship or win out. Either option guarantees IU making the playoffs at 11-1.

Miami is way overrated

Jerry Palm still has us out. To me this goes back toward what a Fox guy said about the AP poll, the poll is a disaster because it is so dominated by its preseason preferences. They had Miami over IU then so there is nothing IU can do to get past Miami.

Hopefully the playoffs committee is immune to that. Palm says margin of victory isn't one of their considerations but he mentions that margin of victory is in IU's benefit.

At least you realize your mistake.

But the point wasn't to blame you, that is a side benefit. The highest concentration of IU fans is in central Indiana and we used to get the games free over the air on channel 4 (for basketball). Because of digital broadcasting having a mileage limit, I cannot even get Indy channels over the air now.

The future costs a whole lot more even though there are more opportunities.

Which leads to the book Paradox of Choice. It turns out there are studies showing having a ton of choices leads to less happiness/satisfaction. Basically buyer's remorse is a real problem.
Eh, we're paying more for entertainment, but we're paying less for a lot of things. Used to be you had to spend 2 months pay for a 25" TV. Now you can buy a hi-def, internet-ready 55" TV for a few hundred dollars.

Hell, I remember phone bills that were outrageous because you had to pay long distance.

By the way, when IU played Marian Friday night in basketball, I watched it on YouTube live, even though it was carried by BTN+. Just searched for 'Indiana basketball live today' and it popped up. No cost.

Some of the complaint is self-fullfilling. If we were "same old IU", Washington and Nebraska would have 6 wins each, Michigan State and Northwestern 5 wins each. Our schedule looks soft because we won those games

Yeah, all those teams on our crappy schedule are crappy and unranked because we beat them.
