Hoosiers

By the way, was anyone shocked Ohio State actually got B10 congrats for how they handled the throwing of bottles. Seriously, do they have pictures of B10 administration? Texas is also a giant program and the SEC didn't just slap them on the back and say, "good job."

In fairness, 30 years ago there may not have been any way to watch several of these games
Well for you ersatz fans that moved out of the Indy market :).

When my wife and I married, we discussed moving to Colorado or Cincinnati. CO was eliminated because of the difficulty in following IU sports, it is a passion we share. Cincy was eliminated because, well, it is Cincinnati. But we still could hear IU on radio, go to a lot of games, and get to sports bars in the Indy market pretty easily.

My apologies for not prioritizing IU athletics high enough on my list

Back in the late 80s or early 90s when ESPN first picked up Big Ten/IU games, my folks (who lived out in the sticks) spent a fortune on one of the early satellite dishes. They also would plan their winter FL vacations around the IU basketball schedule.

At least you realize your mistake.

But the point wasn't to blame you, that is a side benefit. The highest concentration of IU fans is in central Indiana and we used to get the games free over the air on channel 4 (for basketball). Because of digital broadcasting having a mileage limit, I cannot even get Indy channels over the air now.

The future costs a whole lot more even though there are more opportunities.

Which leads to the book Paradox of Choice. It turns out there are studies showing having a ton of choices leads to less happiness/satisfaction. Basically buyer's remorse is a real problem.

We’re best f#cking team in the country.
We need to keep our foot on the gas and dominate this game. I know we've been eyerolling the constant criticism that we haven't faced a test yet, but the truth is, those naysayers have a point. We haven't played any other ranked team. Our B1G schedule has been one of the easiest. OSU did us a favor by beating PSU, because before that, it was technically possible that we could go undefeated and still get left out of the B1G championship.

Now, we truly control our own destiny. First step in going out and grabbing it is cutting Sparty's throat.

Drop the “s” GOAT. You’re the only naysayer left. We’re not squeaking by or getting lucky in our games. We come out and dominate the other team. We’re extremely well coached and are dominant on both Dline and Oline, where football games are won. We can beat any team in the country on a neutral field. I’m looking forward to thumping Michigan next week.

I'm not a naysayer. I'm saying I expect this team to prove they belong there this week and next going into the OSU game.

What they are doing right now is passing that test with flying colors.

Indiana did what they needed to do. Do the pollsters reward them? I'd like to see them leapfrog Penn State well into the Top Ten, but I don't think it will happen.
I don't want them to.

I want them to play with a chip on their shoulder and go in and beat OSU at the Horseshoe, and then vault to #2. Oregon v. Indiana, #1 v#2 in B1G Championship.

Beating OSU is no longer crazy talk. But there's no way an Indiana team will be ranked #2, no matter how much they might deserve it.
