Golf club selection question

Local police warned where my son's room mate works that a rowdy group is planning to show up Saturday. They indicate it won't be a peaceful protest.. The boys live very close in a converted historic hotel with a microbrewery on the first floor. I told them to come to our house so they will be safe and their cars would be safe. They would rather stay and watch over their stuff.

My son says a 7 iron would be his choice to fight off looters. He did get his second hole in one with a 7 iron, but I say a sand wedge would be better. A heavier head and a shorter length would be easier to swing and do more damage. What say you?
