Now this is a kid to keep an eye on. Still pretty raw, only been playing basketball for three years. Explosive athlete, improving skills in perimeter things modern Bigs do these days, i.e. dribble hand off (DHO), ball screen reads as the screener and roll man...great hands.
Big time motor. Love how hard he plays. <-- this matters.
He can get pretty ball hawkish on defense, which leads to mistakes. Right now, he's over rotating to protect the rim, and scouted out well can be exploited. Not scouted out well, he'll alter shots and can certainly get to a shot's apex to block it.
Offensively, willing to carve out space inside. Good footwork (soccer player growing up of course), but it's not advanced yet.
I had him for 18 points, 12 rebounds and 8 blocks vs. Warsaw last night, and no FTs are shot during these scrimmages. He would've had more.
Warsaw doesn't have traditional basketball size, but they do strength. Their starting post is a 6'4" OL, who has been part of their varsity since his freshman year, so he has basketball skills, including 3pt range. They bring another OL type guy off the bench, who is decently mobile, as well as a 6'7" sophomore who has some potential. All are 230+ lbs. Bidunga didn't back down physically, even though he mostly succeeded just being quicker and higher.
HM prospect, doesn't warrant an offer just yet. See how his development goes throughout the season.
