I still love WRC. But they seemed to have been affected by Covid a lot more than F1.
The skills required to drive WRC beats out F1 by a country mile.

The problem with WRC is that there isnt any paying (attending) audience or barely any. TV shows it in bits and also I think the TV audiences have changed -- low attention span and want closure within 90mins or at most 4hrs.

Having a race in stages has an ageing and limited/dying audience. I blame social media and people's need for instant gratification.

Having said that I wonder if the Tour de France (cycling) has rejuvenated their audience age profile? One month race in countless stages.
