Elon/Twitter/and stories from the sh!tter?

It's "He and Bulk both".

I don't care, but that seems to be the thing now, to point out typos, misspellings, and grammar errors.
Well, there is a school of thought that your comma between misspellings and “and” is unnecessary.

Just sayin’.

(As Aloha would say, “it happens alot.”)

You learned about CRT in law school, which is fine for discussing such ideas and theories.

I wouldn't say it's appropriate at all for kids in a public school. Teaching history is one thing, but it's called Critical Race THEORY for a reason.
You ought to read the book i mentioned. I think you'll find out that the concepts aren't the boogeyman the right is pushing.

The problem with CRT, as I see it, is that there is no real definition of it. It can be interpreted - and taught - in many different ways.

Some call it just history - I'm all for teaching history. I'm all for a teacher describing the plight of slaves and discrimination. No problem with any of that at all.

Despite popular opinion, that history was taught in small-town Indiana over 50 years ago. Those of us with any age remember the civil rights marches, MLK Jr's message, and we were all affected by it. It's not news to us and I'd like to think many of us passed that on to our children.

But where I think it's inappropriate is when we make victims of today's minority students and expect white students to bare the blame for past injustices.

What may have been true when Cornel wrote his book is not necessarily true today, regarding opportunities and discrimination. It's an entirely different world today and teaching that some students are inherently handicapped because of their race is wrong and not helping move society to where we want it to be.

So, until there is some concensus of what CRT actually is and how it's taught, I don't think it should be included in any elementary curriculum. If it is included, it should be for high school upperclassmen.

Very reasonable response

Lol.

From a serious perspective....Twitter is a lot bigger fish in the public square than it is on Wall St.... it's really not a very large company, and it's stock has sucked ever since its IPO

There are a couple hundred companies most have never heard of bigger than TWTR.

Yeah, I did expand a bit there.

I look at it like this. Why are people (mainly on the left) afraid that Musk might take over? He says he wants to make for more free discourse across the board at Twitter. So left leaning people are freaking out because it means that they cannot control the narrative (IMO). Musk is not going to allow true threats to stay up on that site. However, he is also not going to allow what a handle like "Libs of Tik Tok" does to get labeled as hate speech and banned.

Twitter is a propaganda tool. They don't care about the little people going back and forth on it. They care about people with followings large enough to be troublesome to the Democrat Party, progressive, left viewpoint in the country. And the fact that Twitter has always jumped to do whatever the Democrats in government say should happen does make this a bit of a first amendment issue IMO.
Liberal media attack anyone they see as a threat politically

Stuffshot coming back after a some time off and making his presence felt!!
WTF?? Are you asleep?

I was not ever suspended. Fake news -- you sound like a Republican dreamer or even like Trump himself.

When confronted with stupidity from DANC and ftw this last week, I decided to challenge their idiotic word-farts every time. I knew it was hopeless. DANC responded a couple times like a clone of the famous Earl Landgrebe (no doubt DANC has no idea who he is -- knowledge of history is not relevant to DANC's deep/derp political analysis).

It's so tiresome to see their responses. So I decided not to let them spew unchallenged:

When they referred to Hitler, I knew I had won.

Never said you were suspended. Haven't seen you in the thread for awhile, as evidenced by the avalanche of responses all in a row.

Thanks for calling me names though.

I don't know who is worse in the R or D space. Bunch of soft MFers all the way around, assuming that if you're not with me on every single thing, you're one of the them.

I was never "gone."

Didn't mean to call you a name you disagreed with. Your last paragraph is on the right track.

Back to Skyrim -- best is Level 87 before getting defeated.

I hope we can continue to be friendly. It's not my intent to be a dickhead towards 95% of the posters on here.

When I joined Facebook, Twitter, this board, and other social media vehicles everything was fine and dandy. I never got "banned" for sh!t I was upset about or if I disagreed. Then Trump gets elected and a switch went off. Right before Trump got elected news agencies were calling out NYT stories and calling them "fake news". The Times held its ground until Trump used the term mocking them for what other news agencies said and then the fight was on daily at every damn news conference. You know the story. Then conservatives started getting banned for what they called conspiracy theories. Hey they aren't staying in line. Shadow banning started. Lines were drawn. The paradigm shift started.

This narrative twisted people beyond stupid...aka Mark, hick, bowl, court, and others. They live in, and with every word the msm tells them. Rather than allowing people to go to church they want to ban it. Rather than allowing people to voice their opinions they want them to be turned off. We have a Hitler like cult that shuns the constitution and the freedoms we once enjoyed. They want to TELL on people like us for upholding the first amendment, they want to take away the second amendment and leave us powerless, they want to rely on the government rather than contribute to society. Immigrants used to come here looking for work now they come here to get on government care. Its authoritarian.

Funny Trump left sh!t up to the governors. Biden tried enforcing nationwide sh!t on us and Trumps the fascist. Every time a dem says racist, fascist, they are out of truths and just start screaming at the sky. They can't deal with debate, facts, or truths. They have been brainwashed by the msm. The msm and social media are controlled by evil people that know wtf they are doing.

Mission Complete! Where we go from here I have no idea. At least Elon is trying to make a difference.
I had to chuckle at his Netflix statement...

Seems important to the citizens of the state of Florida *cough cough*
Huh? What's the *cough cough*? It's certainly important to the retirees who are members of the Fla Retirement system. Twitter's action is probably injurious to the fund and the board may have breached their fiduciary duty. Good for DeSantis. Again. The board's cushy checks and the ee's woke beliefs likely don't jive with the duty owed investors

Injecting politics into pension fund administration seems like a really good idea.

Plan owns a million shares. Better do something. If the shareholders are getting F'd over by woke ee politics and a cushy board good on DeSantis. Lord knows the plan is way the F upside down. It's crazy how upside down all of these underfunded gov pensions are around the country. But i recognize politics plays a part in Desantis' interest

Suddenly you care. Worthy of a defiant l's tweet for sure. Smh
I don't care....not a lick. But Twitter has been a shit investment for nearly it's entire lifespan. I frankly don't care if Elon takes it over either. Don't give a single F. The way I use Twitter I don't mess in anything political, so if Trump is there or not or whatever....zero Fs given. It's for sports content and that's about it for me and that's unlikely to change.

If you bought twitter 6 or 7 years ago when it was in the teens, hopefully you took some profits over the last year or so when it was in the 60s and 70s.

I wonder what the pension fund got in at and if they've sold anything.
