Elon/Twitter/and stories from the sh!tter?

Mark how long have you been on this board? Cmon. I'm gonna post another one. Keep in mind that these links mysteriously disappear. I'm sure you know why, but side with the disappearance.

Here
He said what everyone other infectious disease guy says. Track the history from 2000-2016 and look at all the crap that has come up. Ebola, Sars, Swine Flu, Bird Flu, and on and on. Hasn't there been a infectious disease issue for our last several presidents? It is an easy gimme putt to make that prediction.

So your saying when Fauci gave the announcement that there would be a pandemic during Trumps presidency that he knew it was coming from batsh!t in a market?
Fauci, and any other thinking person, knows that there is a good chance for a significant viral outbreak in any four year period.

West Nile 2001
Anthrax 2001
SARSCov1 2003
Mumps 2006
H1N1 2009
MERS 2012
Ebola 2014
Zika 2016

There might well be another outbreak in the administration of whomever wins in 2024.

It's not magic but rather common sense.

He did not use the term pandemic but rather referred to a "surprise outbreak" based upon his service under 5 administrations. Pandemic preparedness is important, since there WILL be surprise outbreaks and sooner or later one of them could become (and did become) a pandemic.

That there will be a surprise outbreak??? Cmon man show me those videos from barrack, bush's, and Clinton. Defend away. Fauci and his looney freinds should all be tried and convicted. The guy hangs out with the absolute wealthiest evil players of the wealthy.

SMH. Nothing to see here.

I gave you 8 examples of bona fide "surprise viral outbreaks" in a 15 year period and you still think the idea of someone saying that there could well be surprise viral outbreaks in the next 4 years is some sort of a smoking gun.

It would be like me saying that there is a chance that an B1G team will make the final four in mens college basketball (and lose!) sometime in the next few years.

I feel like you are just ranting and not thinking critically in any capacity right now. "tried and convicted"? I would think it would be a good thing to read his whole statement:

"There is no question that there will be a challenge to the coming administration in the arena of infectious diseases," Fauci said during his "Pandemic Preparedness in the Next Administration" speech, which came shortly before Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20. He added, "the thing we're extraordinarily confident about is that we're going to see this in the next few years."

Outsideshooter's chronology is exactly what Faucci and the other infectious disease people are referring to. So taking your argument to the logical conclusion, you are mad that Fauci warned the administration beforehand. Hopefully you aren't talking crazy man stuff that the virus was created by Fauchi....

Your funny and lost...You think there is more to salvation than the faith described in Romans 3:24, 25, 26 and call me out for cherry picking, then toss the above LOL. I have no idea what version you read out of either which makes all the difference in the world. Follow the blood trail.

I have salvation down pat and as long as I keep in memory what Paul preached I'll be just fine. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling and good luck. This isn't a bible study blog and there are a select few I even go to when I need direction. They only answer me with scripture from the KJV, not an opinion when I ask a question. Its the only version that when you read it, it's reading you. If you want to continue the discussion on maybe Andy's OT lead the way. There are times here I'll reference scripture when I think its applicable, but many on the WC prolly don't want to hear it. Abortion is a touchy topic. I have no clue except to listen to the Lord when comes to the subject and there are no scriptures on it except "conceive" and what I have stated above. Peace and good luck.
I'm not the one who's lost, friend. I cited the words of Jesus from the Gospel of John that refute your position. And please (I'm surprised you haven't accused me of being misled by the MSM) don't challenge my source. It's your favorite - - the King James version:

Your religion is politics. That's evident in most of your posts. Like many on the far-right, you've co-opted the bible, think it belongs primarily to you, have become familiar with a few dozen passages (mostly in the Old Testament) that you believe support your political ideology, and conveniently overlook the rest. The fact that you cited "an eye for an eye" in support of capital punishment, when Jesus specifically repudiated "an eye for an eye" in the Gospel of Matthew, is Exhibit A.

Wishing you peace this Easter season. Read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They're a great guide for living. And for salvation.

He's truly incapable of critical thinking. Literally.

As long as the right wing nutjobs keep calling me a "libtard" and the Left wing virtue signaling snowflakes keep calling me a right wing nutjob...I know I am in a good place.

Good to see.
Hahahaha. Same here. Sometimes I see blue, sometimes I see red. Who knew the balance to the force was equally appropriate for politics?

And in my view, looking at things in any other way is disingenuous at best. There are good logical positions at any given point along the spectrum as well as dolts and criminals.

So much time, effort and resources are wasted blindly following one jersey and attacking the other. Tribal politics are insane.

Exactly. The only thing Trump has contributed is his name or backing. He always did brag about using other people's money.

So you have nothing. I would like to think that Zeke wouldn't even be the fish to bite that stink bait, only because her bot timer hasn't went off yet though.

iu
Translation of what Joe really meant:

Uncle Mark made a really good point that I (Joe) have no answer to, so I'm just gonna deflect to a comment about Zeke and hope everybody forgets how well he rebutted me.

Seems a pretty good goal post shift, but a good point and where the crux of the argument seems to lie.

I won't post my usual inflaming content. This is a complex issue and I understand that. No, Honestly I think it is a simple issue, it's just the news papers of the last 150 yrs in a different package, but since it's in a different wrapper, we haven't developed the social mental ability to understand it yet. Just like being able to control computer/ micro controller/ PLC software. We can make something that works, but we can't control all of it's behaviors in unknown environments.
Newspapers over the past 150 years never had any obligation to publish each letter-to-the-editor that was mailed to them AND were liable under libel/slander/defamation laws if they published letters that met the applicable standard for that type of liability.

Then start your own platform. Buy a domain and put your stuff up. Why do you think others should be obligated to publish your content?
He can't do that because then he'd have to use his own money (as discussed in the other post).

Its not the point should my voice not get heard? Just because I don't agree with you should you be shut off? What if the left was shut off? What if the democrats got shut off. You and others would be beside yourselves meanwhile conservatives have put up with it even though its wrong. Terrorists can post on Twitter but Trump and many other conservatives are banned? Its not just twitter either. There is an evil presence at work behind the scenes controlling this sh!t and its not good for this country. JMHO you can disagree if you wish.
The first thing I'd do is eliminate the immunity given under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and any other similar law.

As illustrated by the above post, people are growing up in the internet age with the mistaken understanding that the normal world is better if they can say anything they want without suffering any consequences from their words regardless whether their words are lies, libelous, racist, criminal, fighting words or sexist. This Act has made things much worse.

The concepts of Free Speech and the First Amendment never protected such speech in the first place and certainly didn't prevent private media companies, newspapers and broadcasters from refusing to publish such material.

If message board operators and posters were held legally responsible for what they post, the boards would be a much better place to exchange information.

You obviously are 100 percent correct. That said it is an issue when journalists rely heavily on it for their news/stories and forward thinking people like Musk have such a big issue with it. Musk's comments on it re being the public square are accurate. I'm not sure the remedy bc your legal take is obviously accurate; but there's a problem nonetheless, and start your own platform isn't the answer at this point
Isn't a big part of the problem the fact that "serious" news outlets also now share in the immunity given by the federal Communications Act?

I'm pretty sure that in the old days if a newspaper intentionally quoted and reprinted some obviously false content from a 100% untrustworthy publication, the reprinting newspaper could be held legally accountable for any libel etc. that it reprinted (even though it wad not the originator).

Now, such republication occurs on the internet, which seems to make the reprinting media outlet an "online service provider" immune from responsibility for the garbage it intentionally reproduced from third party sources.

I really hope I'm wrong, but all it takes now is for some politician somewhere to spew some intentional lie and it gets reproduced all over the place by media outlets that claim they are just reporting a "news story" (which never was an excuse in the old days for libel etc.).

In one of my 6 replys to Mark's question to me, I had damn near this exact same thing typed out, but deleted it.
OH just wait until the pendulum swings. Marks (and others) brake drums will fall off the truck!
When we push that pendulum back, they may not like the power that we use to push it back. Time will tell, and you are right, this is not what this country is supposed to be. But with a totally compromised legacy "leadership", what do we expect? "Legacy" leadership with an embedded ideologue bureaucracy is another thing that our founding fathers never envisioned!
George and Ben et al, "we" can not be sorry enough for embarrassing your great efforts.
Wow.

You wrote, "this is not what this country is supposed to be."

Quick, without looking it up: tell us what you know about James Callender's interaction with Jefferson and Adams.

When I joined Facebook, Twitter, this board, and other social media vehicles everything was fine and dandy. I never got "banned" for sh!t I was upset about or if I disagreed. Then Trump gets elected and a switch went off. Right before Trump got elected news agencies were calling out NYT stories and calling them "fake news". The Times held its ground until Trump used the term mocking them for what other news agencies said and then the fight was on daily at every damn news conference. You know the story. Then conservatives started getting banned for what they called conspiracy theories. Hey they aren't staying in line. Shadow banning started. Lines were drawn. The paradigm shift started.

This narrative twisted people beyond stupid...aka Mark, hick, bowl, court, and others. They live in, and with every word the msm tells them. Rather than allowing people to go to church they want to ban it. Rather than allowing people to voice their opinions they want them to be turned off. We have a Hitler like cult that shuns the constitution and the freedoms we once enjoyed. They want to TELL on people like us for upholding the first amendment, they want to take away the second amendment and leave us powerless, they want to rely on the government rather than contribute to society. Immigrants used to come here looking for work now they come here to get on government care. Its authoritarian.

Funny Trump left sh!t up to the governors. Biden tried enforcing nationwide sh!t on us and Trumps the fascist. Every time a dem says racist, fascist, they are out of truths and just start screaming at the sky. They can't deal with debate, facts, or truths. They have been brainwashed by the msm. The msm and social media are controlled by evil people that know wtf they are doing.

Mission Complete! Where we go from here I have no idea. At least Elon is trying to make a difference.
Thanks for citing Hitler.

Because of that, everyone on the internet knows you have conceded.

It at least makes it equal. Rather than remove an opinion, thought or idea it can be heard.

This is deep, the Trump years leading up to now and the COVID shit! Remember church or FAMILY gatherings. You CAN"T do that. Thats control. Obama had everything going the lefts way and then ooops Hillary lost what are we gonna do with orange man. The timeline of events is so plain as day its hilarious, BUT I'm crazies man and its a conspiracy. LMAO.
What?

Are you saying Trump equals God/America/ Apple Pie/Leave it to Beaver/My Three Sons/ The Brady Bunch?

Please research the birthdates of Trump's children and correlate them to the dates he married their mothers.

You're nuts. Twitters censorship is a complete one way street and everyone knows it. Hillary puts out a tweet in 2016 stating that Trump has a direct line to Kremlin running out of Trump tower. A complete lie that she knew at the time but does she get banned or censored? No.

Kamala puts out multiple tweets that Putin hacked the 2016 election and stole it for Trump. A complete lie but no ban or censorship for her.

I can put out a tweet stating that COVID came from a lab and Wuhan which is 100% true and not misleading. That tweet gets removed and I get banned. The people stating lie that it naturally came from bats get to keep tweeting with no censorship despite their lies. See the difference?
Twitter is legally entitled in the USA to ban whoever/whatever it wants from its own content, at least until the authoritarian/socialist Republicans take over.

That goes back to my previous point. Do we allow the "public square" to be "private"? And if Twitter is going to be treated like a private entity, then I think that private company should be open to being sued for the content they allow to be distributed on their website. Take away the protections of all of these private companies and then they have to start charging money to use them and the power they have disintegrates. I am not paying to use Twitter or Facebook and neither are 90%+ of the people who use it. Take away their government provided protections that other private media and owners have to live by and they can be private. Allow them to continue to be afforded protections by the government then they are basically a utility that should not be allowed to pick and choose content.

I am not going to hold the tail of capitalism as it swam dives into a Government, Inc. tyrrany.
We really don't want the "public square" to become "private", because one of our longtime posters just bet another poster in the last day or so that Trump didn't really put up his own money to start up a certain website or (paraphrased) "Or I'll kiss your ass in the courthouse square."

None of us really want to watch that, but we do want to make light of it.

Sorta reminds of The Miller's Tale, doesn't it?

??? If you had read you would know when I said the judgement seat of Christ. Theres 2 judgements the Great White thrown which you DO NOT want to be present for. And the judgement seat of Christ for the saved.
Well, damn. Who wouldn't want to listen to a guy who suggests we sit on a "thrown."

At least, he's probably not copying that from anywhere.

You know what kills me? The only people on this board that talk about Q is the libs. Like we bought that sh!t. My first visit to that website was because of this board I never knew about it before. I was there for a minute and saw the great awakening and knew it was BS. LMAO these dweebs think thats what we subscribe too??? It figures.

I'll drink my Dreadnaught tonight and smoke my cuban (yes my friends just returned from Mexico) Hoyo De Monterrey and enjoy my evening. Peace!
Wow.

The Q's have been seen proudly prominent at numerous Trump rallies. Didn't you know? It's not just an invention of Trump's opponents.

Dan pointed out that was an old video but yes that's what's been going on for a few years now. So when threads pop up about (for instance) election fraud, the sources, all left wing, are completely useless. As time goes by they continually shoot themselves in the foot and the list of lies gets undone leaving a list that Pubs knew to begin with. Look at all the completely duped people there are though. It's really sad.
"All left wing," you say.

False.

Stuffshot coming back after a some time off and making his presence felt!!
I think he just had a tough weekend. Like wore a crop top and tight shorts. Maybe got his presence felt from a couple overwhelming ding DONGS and it hurt. Let it out sweat pea. Wow.

LMAO! That's exactly what happened with "Russian Collusion". The Clinton campaign started the rumor and paid for a fake document and media outlets started reporting it as a story.

Congratulations for seeing the light. Finally.

It is an old clip, and she immediately came out and said: "Today I said it's the media's job to keep President Trump from making up his own facts, NOT that it's our job to control what people think".

I don't watch any American news program anymore. I quite like taking a break from opinion pieces that are far to prevalent across either aisle, and I watch the BBC. I quit subscribing to the Detroit Free Press because I couldn't stand Mitch Albom's self -righteousness. I think he's an okay guy, but I don't want anyone force feeding me opinions.

Today's world has way too many opinions on social media, the news, etc. Social Media has become the breeding grounds for aliens building the pyramids; pizza gate; lizard people in the white house, etc. They may have to start teaching Occam's razor starting in elementary school. It would literally wipe out 90% of the nonsense.

It is like all this nonsense and fear mongering about Critical Race Theory. I don't know what it really is in today's world because of all the fear mongering, but in law school I had to read Race Matters by Cornel West. It was illuminating and moving. Just a great insight
Of course she had to issue a correction about what she 'really meant'. All you have to do is listen to what she said and it was nothing about keeping Trump from making up his own facts. She got caught saying what she says in private.

It's like Biden - he's always having to explain what he 'really meant'. Joe's problem is he has no filter and actually says what he thinks.

You learned about CRT in law school, which is fine for discussing such ideas and theories.

I wouldn't say it's appropriate at all for kids in a public school. Teaching history is one thing, but it's called Critical Race THEORY for a reason.
