Elon/Twitter/and stories from the sh!tter?

When you say things like "calling out the behind the scenes crap" and "controlled agenda" you do realize you sound like a wild conspiracy theorist, don't you?

Seriously, this is where things get whacky for me. You're aligning yourself with people like Mike Lindell and Sidney Powell. They're crazy conspiracy theorists who perpetuate lie upon lie. And it's not hard to prove that. Whether it's one of them or a Fox News host, when they're under oath in a deposition, they all freely admit they're full of it. The problem is, exposing the emperor having not clothes like that doesn't make its way down the chain to people on facebook or internet message boards.
You mean like calling out the virus came from a lab. That was my first ban. That went against a "market in Wuhan". It wasn't natural and I called it out. Call it what you will the next was the dossier was fake...banned again. You get it now? F*ck I believe I've been quite clear about this no? Call me what you will it doesn't surprise me one bit.

You might do better arguing with yourself. Most of us Pubs see it for what it is.

Its not secret its elites that want control. They own every freaking news channel and have created a platform to silence the right. They cancel us through social media that started out with good intentions, but when we started calling out the behind the scenes crap they were doing they started banning posts, shadow banning, and removing things that went against the controlled agenda they have created. Thats f*cked up IMO. The laptop from hell! That ALL got removed pre-election. SILENCED! You don't think that had ramifications??? The left called the people who introduced it CRAZY now they are having to retract it all. Mission accomplished.

He's a wingnut. He thinks the left wants to ban churches and take their guns away and make America a socialist country. Classic conservative paranoia that's been around for awhile now. It's just found a voice on the internet and come out of the shadows.

There's the rub. Sinclair Media and Fox News are as mainstream media as you can get. And neither are being censored or edited. I'd bet they're both at or near the top in terms of viewership.

It really takes some doing to believe that you're being prevented from watching and reading media you're regularly watching and reading. It's next-level to beat your head against the wall trying to convince everyone else that this is your plight.

I think it's the scope and breadth that's the issue. Fox has about 1.5 mil daily viewers. I think Twitter has close to 40 million US users a day

Well then...

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
When he was abused, he did not return abuse. When he suffered, he did not threaten; but he entrusted himself to the one who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were going astray like sheep, but now you have returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.

That's pretty misleading. A lot of those 40 million users are tweeting about stupid crap that has nothing to do with politics. Or anything really.

And despite some famous bans, there are still a lot of prominent far-right voices on social media. It's not like far-right conspiracy theorists have to really dig to get their info.

It's not that there's nothing wrong in the world. It's just that what you think is a big deal really doesn't register as a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

So bowl where are we going here? I can quote scripture all day. This world is a shithole only because of the reprobates in it and the prince of the power of the air who runs them. That's a lot of people. In the end this country is not mentioned it will be destroyed. So while there is good that can happen it won't. For all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. So where we going..

Then we can agree to disagree. I think all of it is a big deal.

You might be a tad bit paranoid when you think the left is going to take away your right to go to church and the 2nd Amendment, when you have a 6-3 majority in the Supreme Court.

You might want to broaden your reality instead of soaking up the same information sources, because for you, things aren't nearly as bad as you're led to believe.

Paranoid? lmao Nothing on this planet scares me. It just angers me, but there is a bigger picture and I smile!

So we are clear, your argument now is that Twitter is media? And if that is the case, are they not therefore responsible to the "news" that they allow to be posted on their site? And if that nees is found to be maliciously false, should they not be open to lawsuits? Currently that is not the case, but if you want to make it so, I would accept those terms.

Additionally, Sinclair Media is mostly local news stations much like Gannett (Tegna) has quite a few locals they own. Local broadcast TV is usually about as diverse as you are going to be able to get as most areas have at least 4 affiliates (ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX) and most local news does not contain the editorializing you see on the bigger channels. In the case of FOXNews's ratings, they are high because they are the only major station that covers stories that is not in lockstep with the others. CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, etc. all split their audience. Fox would lose ratings if there was a quality alternative.

However, going back to my original point. The problem isn't that there are corporate owned media companies. The problem is that the companies that own media also own other related and unrelated items that help them to squeeze out competition. Sinclair or Bezos/Amazon owning media companies isn't that big of a deal on it's own. Bezos using Amazon and their server ownership to block competitors to the Washington Post from being able to reach an audience kind of is.

To you. You don't give a shit because currently you are on the "team" that benefits. The pendulum will swing, it always does. Say that ftw and my side loses the culture war. We are sent off to lick our wounds and bitch about how bad you all ****ed up the world. That argument is done. After having won that battle, what do you think these corporate entities move to do next? You think talking about workers rights and how cool unions are is going to be something they are cool with? Check how Amazon has handled that. Be terrible if every time you brought that up ig the "private corporations" just made it disappear. Disinformation. Why I have links to all these academics and social scientists that I fund that say unions are bad and you all are living the good life and that this is all just causing problems that we don't need. So let's just not have that talk clutter up the nice political and cultural circle jerk we have here on the biggest social media platforms on the planet...mmkay.

I will be dead honest, there would be a whole bunch of people who are sitting here willing to discuss a problem now that will be basking in the Schaudenfreud of watching the "other side" take it up the ass when the tables turn. And you know what, I think there are people out there who know that is the case and they take full advantage of that.

No, I'm not claiming twitter is media. I could see how they could serve as an aggregator of media though.

And Sinclair most certainly does practice in conservative editorializing.

Fox News has at times more than doubled all the other cable news outlets in viewership. Yes, the others are fragmented, but they're also not stealing viewers from Fox News.

I also don't think I disagree with your point about Bezos/Amazon/Washington Post.

Can you show me the last major narrative that had a "this is disinfo" tag attached to it that came from the left on Facebook? How about the last one on Twitter? When was the last time a completely true news story from a newspaper in one of the largest cities in the US caused the paper to lose its Twitter page and people sharing it to be suspended when it came from the left? Last time a left wing politician was kicked off one of the platforms? There is a whole bunch of stuff that is overwhelmingly true that got people bumped off Facebbok, Twitter, and YouTube the past few years.

Yeah, we argue but we have to pull punches that you all don't. With several topics we couldn't even have conversations with "friends" without that prick Mark Zuckerberg slapping "this is false, click here" addendum to posts. And on top of that, his "this is false" was a complete crock of shit. "Their site, they can do what they want..." Fine and dandy, but the role they play is similar to the telephone, the local paper, the town square, the local barber shop, etc. all rolled into one. And they are very much putting their finger on the scale for one side. That is irrefutable. They admit it. So I want to regulate the bejeezus out of them.

There is a gulf of a difference between a speculative, conspiracy laden tweet or facebook post and what might one day turn out to be true. It's a little disingenuous to suggest that people were getting banned or deplatformed because they were posting factual news stories. As far as I can recall, people were getting the misinformation labels because they were posting speculative crap. Even if nuggets of what they were saying did ultimately come true, that doesn't mean they were privy to information the rest of us weren't or that they were accurately predicting something. It could mean they were throwing crap against the wall to see what sticks.

Every year a friend of mine declares that IU is going to win the Rose Bowl. He's been doing it since I've known him in the early 90s. Probably even before then. If one day IU does actually win the Rose Bowl, he can't all the sudden point to everyone and say we were crazy for dismissing the idea that Gerry DiNardo was going to win a Rose Bowl.

Saying that hunters laptop is a real story that deserves to be covered (because there was exactly zero evidence to the contrary) is throwing shit against the wall?

As far as I can tell the people posting that stuff were using common sense, and the people opposed to what they were saying were acting on faith and in deference to their tech overlords.

I'm with you Hoo...I'll tell you what...I discovered The Epoch Times (ohhhh here we go BS news source) through an ad on facebook about the Wuhan lab. Clicked and and watched a 30 minute perfectly laid out, with charts, names, sources, and even a U.S. General that was in China and knew all about it. He also went into detail about the chemical warfare China had launched against us through all kinds of synthetic drugs and fentanyl. It was like a story you would see on 60 minutes years ago when they were worth a sh!t. I reposted on Facebook got banned, reposted on Twitter got banned. So these people that think its not that bad are full of sh!t.

The 51 intelligence officials that signed off on the laptop being propaganda. TOTAL LIE! The Witmer kidnapping case. Total fabricated BS.

I'm sorry ya'll need a dose of reality. The msm has become an armed dangerous one sided weapon with government officials, fbi, doj, cia, on the same side acting completely political rather than doing what they were hired to do. Your blind because it doesn't happen to you.

I do not esteemeth one day above another. Good Friday matters not to me just as Christmas doesn't either. Do you know Easter is originally a pagan holiday? The anger is what it is. I'm not perfect and sin like anyone else I'm forgiven and will have to answer at the judgement seat of Christ so let me worry about that.

Sick of answering foolish people who stumble all over themselves. Its not fairly sided.

You don't have to wait until then. If you are willing to confess your sins now and ask for forgiveness you can be saved today. Or soon anyway. Van Pastorman can do it.

Nobody is saved through confession. I'm saved and can walk anyone through the gospel according to Paul who Christ charged to preach to the Gentiles. Its not John 3:16, Its not in Acts, and its not Romans 10:9. The gospel is Romans 1,2,3 and the saving message is Romans 3:24,25,26. Paul says in Romans So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. and concludes at Therefore we conclude a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Context and timing matters. When everyone was parroting Trump and calling COVID the "China Virus," it wasn't because Trump had hard evidence that it came from a lab.
