The inverse relationship between accomplishment and notoriety for this family is insane.
RFK and JFK’s best legacy is one Democrats would rather not countenance and that is their distrust of unelected, centralized government organizations. As JFK said he wanted to “splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter them to the winds.” It’s possibly what got him killed. Bobby was equally distrustful.
He successfully cut income taxes - though LBJ signed it due to JFK’s assassination.
