That chainsaw stunt is going to backfire at midterms. Almost everyone favors a review of government waste. But most still see the human side to all of this.
Democrats have certainly rigged the House map pretty well in their favor with gerrymandering and the porous 2020 census. Trump should have his commerce secretary conduct a special census, so the seven or so house seats that should have shifted to red states are accounted for. Gina Raimondo should have done this at the time when it became clear the census was botched, but alas, the last administration had no integrity and cravenly pursued political power above all else.
