Co-President Musk

He was just signaling that his heart goes out to you.

Duhhhh. 🤣
I thought that might be it - until he held up and waved a metal pipe he apparently carries with him on the front seat. Not kidding. It was rather bizarre.

Then again, last week some assholes with Nazi flags were waving them on a highway overpass in the city (though I suspect those people were from Cleveland or Akron :)).

He wanted to know if you wanted your tires checked, I reckon.

I understand FAA probationary employees received the email a couple Fridays ago. Seems like another agency where no thought, across the board firings were not a good idea. I’m sure they will walk that one back too and act like nothing happened.
Embarrassing government failures are coming.

These wingnuts are feeling validated for some strange reason . . .

I've seen some too.

What's the old saying about President's budget proposals?

President's proposes, Congress disposes
Yeah, but he and his people are saying they don't have to spend it. So it doesn't really matter what this Congress says, now in 2026 when I am fully expecting a blue wave....

Reading more into this.... Doesn't sound like a top line cut whatsoever. But rather a shift of funds to go toward the iron dome. Which will cost a fortune.

I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed.

I’m not an expert on autism so I’m hoping if anyone here is please respond with some facts.

Musk has previously stated he has Aspberger Syndrome. Does this affect the way he has made any decisions? It’s said people on the spectrum lack social cues. Does this include the ability to empathize? Perhaps his handling of firing or discussing it with the use of a chain saw is a byproduct of how he thinks or his inability to empathize with others.

Feel free to educate me. I’m really just asking questions to better understand if the two are related.

He wore out his welcome weeks ago. Wonder how much longer Congressional Republicans are going to tie their fortunes to his sinking anchor.

Kash Patel is telling FBI to not comply. Going to be hard for the MAGAs to square that circle

That chainsaw stunt is going to backfire at midterms. Almost everyone favors a review of government waste. But most still see the human side to all of this.

The chainsaw was tone deaf and callous. Only the most hardcore maga appreciate that kind of showmanship
Democrats have certainly rigged the House map pretty well in their favor with gerrymandering and the porous 2020 census. Trump should have his commerce secretary conduct a special census, so the seven or so house seats that should have shifted to red states are accounted for. Gina Raimondo should have done this at the time when it became clear the census was botched, but alas, the last administration had no integrity and cravenly pursued political power above all else.

That said, it’s too early to forecast midterms just yet despite the inherent advantages for the opposition party.

The Department of Education shouldn’t exist. It doesn’t mean I think the average person working there is my enemy. Russell doesn’t hate the average Joe or Jane worker.
Back to the debate about federal workers being hated,

  • Podcaster Charlie Kirk declared: "A lot of these people are less than desirable. They could not hold a job at your local Chipotle. In fact, your local Uber Eats driver, your local Chipotle worker, they're working their tail off every day, and God bless them. But the federal work—those are plushy jobs where nothing is done. These jobs never should have existed in the first place."

  • Fox entertainer Laura Ingraham was offended by Democratic pushback against DOGE, and wondered: "How do you resurrect your party thought, by protecting red tape and the bureaucracy? By trying to gin up sympathy for federal workers who need to get real jobs in the real world like most of America. Ever heard of it?"

  • Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who you can always consult if you are trying to figure out the stupidest opinion on any given issue, said: "The bureaucracy is not a business. Those are not real jobs producing federal revenue. By the way, they're consuming taxpayer dollars. Those jobs are paid for by the American tax people who work real jobs, earn real income, pay federal taxes, and then pay these federal employees. Federal employees do not deserve their jobs. Federal employees do not deserve their paychecks."

GOP has much more success gerrymandering given their voters are spread out whereas dems are more concentrated in cities. Got any links backing up your accusations of dem gerrymandering?

You don't have to look any further than Indiana for proof of GOP gerrymandering. Can focus on what they did to bloomington to make sure conservatives won the districts despite bloomington leaning heavy to dems. They also gerrymandered the map by Anderson to remove a longtime dem state senator there as well. if you can win fair and square....cheat.

2022 redistricting saw a +6 move towards Lean D seats. A loss of 6 highly competitive seats.

You’re ill informed and a robotic partisan, so naturally you have the impression that Republicans gerrymander more.

They both gerrymander (yet you only mention it about dems...wonder why). The fact GOP voters are more spread out definitely helps make it easier for them to gerrymander.

You calling someone else partisan is hilarious.

Wrestle with the data I shared and admit you were wrong Cletus.
i never said dems didn't gerrymander.

Did you read the article? Republicans gerrymandering in North Carolina was overturned. They also mentioned Republicans successfully gerrymandering in Florida and Texas to make their existing seats safer.

Shocking that you only read what you want because you're hyper partisan.

Yeah, these federal employees are so worthless that the DOGE clowns have had to scramble to “un-fire” a bunch of them.

Bunch of reckless dumb fvcks making these decisions.

So you’ve moved from “GOP has much more success” to “well both parties do it”. Those goal posts will be in the stands pretty soon Grover.
