Dear Pastor:
I’m not sure what god forsaken corner of the State you were in, but the Chicago metro and Central Illinois areas were obsessed with Illini hoops. 40,000 fans showed up at their “practice” session in St. Louis before the FF.

I lived just south of the Quad Cities during the Flying Illini years and there were way more Iowa fans than Illinois. The simple fact is that the fandom for Illinois doesn't nearly go border to border like it does for Indiana.

What?? Lol. First of all, we don’t have instate teams with ANYWHERE near the support of Purdue, and an absolutely tiny percent of our population lives in that Iowa territory ... hence why it’s Iowa territory.
