My sis’s best friend is mom of the teachers aide. My sis just told me about the aide this weekend. Son and wife didn’t.
Of course they didn't. They know how stupid they're acting whether they'll admit it or not.

You really should stop pretending you are an expert in stuff you know nothing about. The union cannot keep a poor teacher from being fired, if the principal is willing to do the paperwork. The union makes sure the rules are followed, teacher must be aware of deficiencies and is given required time to improve and a certain amount of observations. It’s not difficult.Well hell no you can't fire them - they belong to a Union!
You know - the ones supported by Democrats. They're also why the good ones can't be paid any more than the bad ones. But keep voting for mediocrity.
You’re right.Of course they didn't. They know how stupid they're acting whether they'll admit it or not.
You’re the one being silly. I actually let my friends speak for themselves, but their positions were dismissed and ridiculed. I specifically recall you saying I was race baiting when I quoted what a friend posted on Facebook about January 6. It was disappointing.Don’t be silly. We all know that white liberals are the experts in all racial issues - much more expert than any minorities are.
Funny my mom was a teacher, relatives are teachers, friends were teachers and smart enough to get out , best friend is a college prof . See you think you know so much about everybody and you really don't . The other stuff you list really isn't relevant no matter how much you think it is. You are way too emotional about it.Yup because what other profession gets discussed, complained about and judged from people whose only qualification is they went to school and their kids do. But everyone thinks they are experts in the best way to teach. I fortunately did not have parents like this and had zero parental issues and nothing but support. From the people who actually matter.
So can we have a long thread about attorneys, doctors, IT, HVAC, or really any other profession where we all pretend to know better than those trained to do the job?
Spoiler alert: it’s not.Can you provide specific examples of these books and which classrooms they are being taught in? THis could be some breaking news.
Also, how is what you described CRT?
Teachers are very seldom fired. It’s not difficult.
Please tell me your experience of growing up black. Some of us white guys have a bit of experience with these issues
Not an urban at risk school would be my guess. Occasionally we would get one for a year, then the next year they would be pulled because funding dried up.My old school North Daviess have many. In fact my young daughter in law just got Covid from her aide.
Don’t recall that, but if I said it I meant it. I also mean it in this thread about racial sensitivity. I think it’s pretty obvious. You’re the one being silly. I actually let my friends speak for themselves, but their positions were dismissed and ridiculed. I specifically recall you saying I was race baiting when I quoted what a friend posted on Facebook about January 6. It was disappointing.
You first. I remember vividly your moronic posts during the summer of love pretending the rioters were right wingers. You are the very embodiment of what we fear will come near our HIGH SCHOOL kids. Please tell me your experience of growing up black.
CO. Hoosier's post about CRT in elementary schoolsI'm too stupid to know how. It was in other threads. And no I don't think it was in grade schools. High schools. If you are referring exclusively to grade schools I misunderstood. I can't imagine that's occurring.
Ive not heard of it in grade schoolsCO. Hoosier's post about CRT in elementary schools
This is why I wanted some specific examples because I don't believe it.
Was I talking to you? Did I say anything about people not knowing teachers? Unless you are in a classroom, sorry, but you don’t know about teaching. Hey my Dad was a doctor, my best friend is a doctor, ok if I take out your appendix? Heck, I even watched House. I’m an expert! PS. Sorry, but you aren’t really my target audience for what is relevant and what is not.Funny my mom was a teacher, relatives are teachers, friends were teachers and smart enough to get out , best friend is a college prof . See you think you know so much about everybody and you really don't . The other stuff you list really isn't relevant no matter how much you think it is. You are way too emotional about it.
No clue what you are talking about. I imagine I mentioned a couple of the people who were caught who were right wingers, like the umbrella guy in black. Not sure what that has to do with this thread, but ok. Speaking of moronic, I’m not sure how to make it clear to you. When I have posted many things about race, they did NOT come from me. They came from my friends’ posts and their experiences. And very doubtful your experience dwarfs mine, teaching 8 hours a day 5 days a week, and even more time with your colleagues. You get to know people pretty well in that environment and talk about everything under the sun, and certainly racial issues. You first. I remember vividly your moronic posts during the summer of love pretending the rioters were right wingers. You are the very embodiment of what we fear will come near our HIGH SCHOOL kids.
And believe me my experience in the urban core dwarfs yours
Right because you don't like my politics, I get to choose my doctor, lawyer, whatever expert. My kids are stuck with you. The only thing you think is relevant is what you think is relevant. Was I talking to you? Did I say anything about people not knowing teachers? Well it was stupid. Not sure why I can’t share an experience of how a friend was feeling. If you think that is race baiting, then I’ll just have to learn to somehow live with that. I’ve never said I’m the only person with black friends, but I somehow think explaining directly how someone of Color might feel about a certain situation might be relevant. And what is it you think is pretty obvious?Don’t recall that, but if I said it I meant it. I also mean it in this thread about racial sensitivity. I think it’s pretty obvious.
Opportunity Clearinghouse in the hood teaching at-risk kids. United way in the hood with agencies that provided drug addiction services. Volunteered with three agencies in the hood servicing at risk kids and drug addicts. 95 percent of my coworkers were black. Countless board/volunteer positions with agencies providing direct service in the hood. 15 years in the drug court and on criminal dockets. 20 plus years spent in the hood in the most dangerous city in America. Oh and I taught classes in Ohio at the prisons. No clue what you are talking about. I imagine I mentioned a couple of the people who were caught who were right wingers, like the umbrella guy in black. I’m sure if I was teaching all the bogeyman stuff you think people are teaching you’d be free to switch your child. Your child would throw a fit though, because they loved me.Right because you don't like my politics, I get to choose my doctor, lawyer, whatever expert. My kids are stuck with you. The ''bogeyman''? Really has much more to do with your attitude than anything else.I’m sure if I was teaching all the bogeyman stuff you think people are teaching you’d be free to switch your child. Your child would throw a fit though, because they loved me.
It's when the bogeyman ceases to be imaginary. Everything is identity bsThe ''bogeyman''? Really has much more to do with your attitude than anything else.
What did you teach and how long did you spend with them. I’m talking about having relationships where you talk to people daily about about their life and their experiences because you see them every day and develop a bond. So with your coworkers, you probably had some of that, if you chose to have those discussions. Many don’t. And perhaps with your students. My “ black friends on Facebook” are friends and many former students who often vent their feelings on subjects, particularly when something important has happened. I apologize for thinking anyone here would be interested in what some people of color say about incidents that effect them . Truly should know better.Opportunity Clearinghouse in the hood teaching at-risk kids. United way in the hood with agencies that provided drug addiction services. Lol. I’m so sorry the only teacher on here tries to make some points on an education thread. I’ll try to have a better attitude. And I’ll smile more too.The ''bogeyman''? Really has much more to do with your attitude than anything else.
Are you kidding me. I spent years helping them get a GED. Get internships. Get jobs. Driving them to the meth clinic. Shepherding them through five years of drug court. Prison. Yeah you get to know them and what they think. What did you teach and how long did you spend with them. You weren't in a union, getting great benefits and bitching either were you?Are you kidding me. I spent years helping them get a GED. Get internships. Get jobs. Driving them to the meth clinic. Shepherding them through five years of drug court. Prison. Yeah you get to know them and what they think.
The obvious thing is that you’re more sensitive to racial issues than any minority I know. I’m not going to claim convenient friends as you often do (and I’m not saying your convenient friends aren’t real), but because of my career and the states and countries I’ve lived in, it’s highly unlikely you’ve lived around, lived with, worked with, worked for, or had/have worked for you, a fraction of the minorities that I have. I don’t speak for them.Well it was stupid. Not sure why I can’t share an experience of how a friend was feeling. Don't enjoy reading comprehension?Alleged? Are you saying it didn't happen?
It was a valid question, Mas. I’m also confused. Are you saying the holocaust is only “alleged” and not factually accurate history? I honestly hope not.Don't enjoy reading comprehension?

Mas has previously explained that the Zionists declared war on Germany in 1933. Presumably, the Holocaust is simply a Jewish misrepresentation of legitimate German self-defense.It was a valid question, Mas. I’m also confused. Look up anti-racism in schools, on the WaterCooler or Google. Check out the thread on FAIR highlighting Oak Park D97 specifics. If you don't think anti-racism is the same thing as CRT, please look that discussion up on the WC threads as well because it's been discussed ad naseum. Or read some books on the subject--I'd start with John McWhorter's new one, Woke Racism.CO. Hoosier's post about CRT in elementary schools

Well that’s a home run. Fantastic the time you’ve given in inner cities. Hats off to you.Opportunity Clearinghouse in the hood teaching at-risk kids. Nah. Honestly once you get in United Way's crosshairs you're roped in, and then you get to know the people at the member agencies and it kind of snowballs. You'd be surprised how many people are involved in that way. Without UW it would be a lot more difficult, and I would venture so many of the volunteers I've known through the years never would have done it. I know they have their flaws but they do a ton of goodWell that’s a home run. Fantastic the time you’ve given in inner cities. Hats off to you.
"sins of the past imbedded forever."That’s not CRT. Of course there are many books about that. And sorry, but they should have racial consciousness and sins of the past imbedded forever. Just like sex education, depends how it’s taught and when .
I know enough to know that all schools have aides. Not all teachers do, but many do and every school has them.Haha. This just shows how much you know about education. Sure all classrooms have teachers’ aides, sure they do. In Carmel, maybe. In struggling school districts? Good luck with that. Any aides anyone has right now are being pulled to sub every day. Special education classrooms often have aides but not many others in lots of districts.
Bullshit. I've seen bad teachers kept on because the Union raises hell if any are let go.You really should stop pretending you are an expert in stuff you know nothing about. Zeke feels guilty. Very guilty. Her ancestors must have been big slaveholders. The obvious thing is that you’re more sensitive to racial issues than any minority I know.
