Book banning that suspiciously looks like what all the snowflakes are worried about

That sounds a little bit like "I have a black friend'. Well, of course there's some black people wo object to CRT. But on the whole, who are the people raising the most hell about it? In the statehouses. In the school board meetings. It's white folks.
So your take away is if whites object it must be good for blacks. Got it.

Go to any courtroom in any big city during Monday first appearances and tell me how many white boys you see in orange suits. For a myriad of reasons, black young men dominate the criminal justice system. It’s not because the system is racist. The system accepts offenders as they come.
So, they do receive the best legal representation...even if innocent?

Also, my call to you would be the same...spend some time in a real inner city urban school. I'm not talking about guest sponsoring the debate team, either.

I've never once seen it make a difference. Hell the lead prosecutors are black
Now that's just disingenuous.

95% of elected prosecutors are white (2014)

And while there are also appointed prosecutors, if I'm supposed to believe that the appointed ones are black even though all of the elected ones are white, I'm going to need to be convinced.

THe above study was updated in 2019. 95% still white, just a higher percentage of white women vs. white men.

Grew up there. Agreed it's mostly money, but in inner cities...well, you can connect the dots.
I have never seen it. Inner city prosecutors are likely black. What I've seen are countless chances. Stl City - crime heavy all black - is 20 minutes from Jefferson County - meth capital. "white trash." Same difference in treatment. Only difference is if you can afford a connected lawyer to fight - discovery, set it for trial etc. Asst prosecutors are prejudiced against work not people.

Stl City and Stl County the head prosecutors are black. Chicago black. Baltimore. Detroit. On and on. Look at the urban high crime areas and those stats will change drastically. The Who's Who of the most dangerous cities in America have black prosecutors running the show

Well, of course all money is green, and I'm not saying prosecutors are prejudiced against anyone.
I was pointing at the quality of defense.

I have opinions about how things should be done within my employer's company that run counter to how that company wants me to do them. Just because I hold an opinion about something doesn't mean that's how I execute it when it comes to doing my job.

And just because there are books doesn't mean it's in the curriculum/being taught.

Teaching how laws/policies were created and formed by the white establishment to put POC at a disadvantage isn't part of our history?
CRT is not fact based. It presumes without fact. It teaches division, you are defined by your race and not by who you are. Evem simple basic actions like showing up for work on time , being responsible are frowned upon.

An excerpt:

"Oak Park school officials provided a more targeted overview of the district’s new anti-racist curriculum.

The goal of the curriculum, as the officials described it in the session, is “to develop students who are able to identify injustices and act in a way that promotes justice and equity.” To that end, teachers at Oak Park have implemented lessons on Identity and Diversity “during the morning meetings and throughout the day,” with plans for the 2021-2022 school year to introduce lessons on the other two “anti-bias domains” in the LFJ curriculum: “Justice” and “Action.” The lessons are supplemented by additional social justice books, including anti-racist guru Ibram X. Kendi’s Stamped from the Beginning, and Anastasia Higginbotham’s Not my Idea: A Book About Whiteness, a children’s book that emphasizes the importance of skin color in how people “see the world” and encourages white children to face the painful truth about “your own people, your own family.”

The Oak Park officials sought to inform parents of how the social justice lessons were already showing observable signs of success, and not just in relation to race/racism. For instance, as an example of “Student learning as a result of ongoing work to dismantle gender stereotypes,” the session presenters highlight an Oak Park kindergarten teacher who had the class write about his non-binary animal puppet using they/them pronouns."

That’s because Democrats and liberals believe to their core that blacks are inferior. CRT permits them to believe that because they blame whiteness for the inferiority.

Biden is among the worst offenders of this belief. His self-imposed SCOTUS justice qualification of Black Female because “it’s time” reveals much more than his cognitive deficit. He stripped away any notion that his nominee actually earned her nomination by comparing her accomplishments with non-Black females.

Yeah, sign my kid up for that. It'll reinforce the values we try to teach in our home about looking through life's situations thru a prism other than your own.

Yeah I've never seen anything about showing up for work and being responsible being frowned upon lol

I can go both ways on the Biden declaration of wanting a black woman.

On one hand, he shouldn't pick a candidate based on skin color and gender.

On the other hand, it can be argued a black women who has become worthy of being considered as a candidate to be a Supreme has overcome many obstacles and is therefore exceptionally qualified.

From a political standpoint, the choice probably will not raise his job performance ratings.

As the crowd began chanting "Fill That Seat!" Trump said he had not made a final choice but was inclined to choose a woman -- and then, with a theatrical flourish and no hint of irony, took a snap poll of the crowd to gauge whether they preferred a man or a woman to fill the seat of a justice who was an equal rights icon.

"It will be a woman, a very talented, very brilliant woman," Trump said, after the crowd overwhelmingly cheered for a female nominee. "I haven't chosen yet, but we have numerous women on the list."

***

"I am announcing today that one of the first Supreme Court vacancies in my administration will be filled by the most qualified woman I can possibly find, one who meets the high standards I will demand for all court appointments," Reagan told reporters midway through a speech that began with him declaring that it was untrue that he was "somehow opposed to full and equal opportunities for women in America."

You really believe white kids are taught to be personally ashamed? That they, themselves, should feel shame for what happened decades and centuries ago?

Because I feel ashamed for a lot of things that have happened in history and I understand the need to do better and do my part to not repeat or try not to allow the sins of the past to be repeated, but I in no way shape or form have personal shame over something I had nothing to do with.

If we can't learn about bad things in history and not feel a little bit of shame about those things, then what's really the point of learning the history anyway? The shame makes you understand this shouldn't happen again.

Is it possible that the people that lack empathy see being taught these things see it as shame and those of us that do have empathy see it as a way to learn and do better?
Is this one of those virtue signal posts?

To be fair, I believe this was removed from the NMAAHC and they apologized for including it in their "Talking about Race" materials on their website and elsewhere. It was up for about 4 months back in 2020 and taken down.

It was taken, mostly, from a 1978 book "White Awareness: Handbood for Anti-Racism Training"

The chart came from a 1978 book, “White Awareness: Handbook for Anti-Racism Training” by Judy H. Katz, according to the museum. It lists about 50 attributes white people used to describe their culture. These attributes, it said, “have been normalized over time and are now considered standard practices in the United States. And since white people still hold most of the institutional power in America, we all have internalized some aspects of white culture, including people of color.”

I suspect if they were to:

A. Ask white people to describe their culture today as opposed to 40+ years ago, it might be quite different
B. If they were to ask many other races to describe their culture, many of the responses would be the same.

This chart is just really bad and completely out of date. Hey, maybe it's all still true but you'd think the Smithsonian would have had a bit higher standards when it came to putting this kind of thing out.

The Who's Who of the most dangerous cities in America have black prosecutors running the show

Well...I guess it depends on how you define it, but this list only has 4 out of 10 that are African-American.

Based on this information, the ten most dangerous cities in the United States are:
  1. Detroit, MI
  2. Memphis, TN
  3. Birmingham, AL
  4. Baltimore, MD
  5. St. Louis, MO
  6. Kansas City, MO
  7. Cleveland, OH
  8. Little Rock, AR
  9. Milwaukee, WI
  10. Stockton, CA
It seems pretty glib of you to just dismiss that 95% number.

Yes but we should never forget, this should be imbedded in all children moving forward & generations of non-whites should carry the shame & guilt of this bigotry.
