Biden to reverse course on border

You're not a morning person, are you?
Tough crowd.

Point being, Democrats always say they aren't for an open border but everything they support or suggest is to the contrary. That border is shut down to almost zero if they really wanted to. They don't.

Craze, the only time "open borders" enters the immigration debate is when one party declares the other party as wanting "open borders".

Both parties love to take the other party's positions to extremes to make them appear foolish. These tactics only make reaching a consensus more difficult. Part of the reason updating immigration laws simply escapes Congress.

Rather rant than fix.
Nah, I don't buy that. Everything up to this point is EXACTLY what the Democrats wanted. And what we have had up to this point is a de-facto open border. We can "Yeah but" around the edges but basically their policy has been if you aren't a crook and can walk across that border, you get some legal proceeding that we may or may not force you to attend and then you get to stay.

Their compromise was to look at the amount of people currently coming in and say, "Well, we will cap it at that amount."

The consensus should be really ****ing easy since everyone totally doesn't want illegal immigration. You don't go through the proper channels to get here, you don't get to stay. The end. FWIW though, the GOP doesn't want a deal either because their donors love the cheap labor. Potential future votes and electoral power for one side and people they can pay shit wages that are supplemented by government benefits on the other (because illegal immigrants are among THE most likely to be on some form of assistance), but they don't pay that anyway, we do.

And that ladies and gentlemen is why Trump. The American public isn't always the brightest, but they eventually figure things out.

IMO Trump has used the current immigration dilemma and the failure of Congresss to reform laws to his advantage.

Craze, given this, have a hard time agreeing with you when you state, "Everything up to this point is EXACTLY what the Democrats wanted".
