Overall it looks like a pretty good report for the FED to continue hiking rates. Also, I assume it's more likely we are not in a recession, which is good news. Slowing wage growth isn't good, but everything else looks solid. Thoughts? Corrections? Drink of choice this weekend?

I Creeped your Twitter profile and you're clearly just an angry old white dude. Not just on here, but in all facets of life. You also clearly enjoy yelling and screaming at Twitter accounts that you know will not respond to you. I'm not really sure what that accomplishes...maybe it makes you feel better, but my guess is that it plays a part in your anger.

Maybe you should spend more time doing your churchy things and less time on the internet. Maybe you'll be a little happier in life.

Should the unemployment rate be downgraded as a metric and be replaced with labor force participation rate or some mash up of the two? Does this already exist and b/c I'm a financial neophyte I don't know about it (probably yes to this)?

Wages are up (yes inflation sucks but still) and yet the participation rate continues to drop. Is this b/c of early and, in the case of many boomers, not so early retirement? Gig workers?

What a weird economy (again, as a neophyte). Will things ever truly return to normal?

People make more dough on side hustles than regular jobs

Slowing wage growth is a sign that inflation has hopefully peaked and should start slowly receding.....

What's normal? We've known for decades that the boomer era retirement wave would cause labor market dislocations.... but external events (GFC delaying retirements and then pandemic + bull market) caused this wave to turn into more of a cliff.

yeah, normal should probably be stricken from any convo at this point.

So, this wave which should have taken a decade or more is going to crash and burn in 2-3 years. The participation rate is still stagnant and that might be the new normal? I'm sure the economy will adjust but how do wages continue to slow if the labor market remains this tight? Will gig workers return to more "normal" jobs? I guess we'll find out.

It is hard for me to say, especially since (I may have gotten this wrong) the criteria used to measure job growth and the unemployment rate were changed in recent months. So, comparisons to last year are bit inconsistent.

I think the best scenario (given our current state of economy) would be lower jobs numbers, slower wage growth, and higher labor participation rate.

The labor participation rate dropped to 62.2% this month (down .2). I am not sure why unemployment rate is always the headline number. As for lower participation rate, most of what I read is similar to what you listed.

5) approve crypto. Tax it in a clear manner.
6) don't cancel student debt but reduce college from 4 yrs to 3 yrs.
7) reduce cap gains tax to 10%
8) eliminate carried interest

Oh boy it’s our old friend Catturd! Are you guys seriously not embarrassed using this as a source for anything? I mean it just kind of underlines how batshit crazy you are.
Speaking of embarrassment Are you ever embarrassed by the crap you post thinking the world revolves around Zeke and your band of women that follow you on Twitter or whatever . People like you just reinforce why we vote against you. Are you going somewhere to protest this weekend . Be an adult and enjoy the weekend Think about birth control and actually the #1 thing you should tell all your girl followers ( that is still creepy) dont have sex with anyone and then this isnt an issue. Can you tell me if people dont engage in sex how this is even an issue?

This can't be a serious take from a functioning adult. Telling people to stop having sex isn't a solution at all.

You need to get laid. That might relieve some anger from you.

Your function as an adult has been a serious question on many things

Do you read most of the stuff people post on here? It is a simple 100% foolproof way to deal with the issue if people really want to be honest about it. It worked for hundreds of yrs , not the dont have sex but dont do it unless you are ready for the consequences and to raise them with the person you had sex with. Or you could try her on the pill and use condoms as well which would seem the fail rate of both at the same time would be almost nil.

Solid burn.

So your only suppose to have sex if you want a kid? My best friends twins were conceived thr very first time him and his now wife had sex. He was wearing a condom.

My sister works for Parkview Medical. She sees people everyday who were on birth control or using condoms that didn't work. Doctors have made a pretty penny on your claim that the fail rate is almost nil.

I'm not making a claim for abortion one way or the other, but your claim to just stop having sex is stupid and birth control is almost nil is not true.

Why is it just stupid? it is 100% proven to work . You also dont seem to read well as I said using birth control and a condom would be almost nil. Comprehension and also having some self control are good things.
