Another dose of reality...from real doctors.

That’s the dumbest goddamned thing I’ve ever watched. You’re a moron.

edit: I’m glad two urgent care doctors in bumble-**** county California think it’s a hoax. I’m also glad they’re blaming social distancing on why people are molesting kids and not blaming the monsters themselves...how Christian of you

edit2: meanwhile, the death rate of Confirmed cases remains 6% in New York. That’s far higher than the death rate of flu patients. Is that inconvenient?

edit3: have I reminded you that you’re an idiot that wants us to watch videos captioned “ Pandemic Hoax”?

edit4: delete your account. Your next coherent and thought-provoking post will be your first

I look forward to briefing 3 where they tell us that drinking bleach and disinfectants in small doses actually will kill the virus. There won't be a briefing 4 - by that time Trump will have found them and they'll be heading up the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases and leading our national COVID-19 task force (but only if they learn to address it properly as the Wuhan Flu).

I'm surprised there's no shortage of aluminum foil in this country.

Did you hear about the NYC ER doc who killed herself yesterday because she couldn't reconcile the horror she's lived through the last 3-4 weeks? Tell me why I should listen to these 2 guys?
Oh because they’re doctors that run urgent care in bumble**** CA. I know in seriousness that Bakersfield is a “big city”...but it isn’t dense and isn’t NY or Nj or eastern PA where it’s getting shellacked.

While Bakersfield isn't exactly bumblefk, the doctors weren't entirely accurate or truthful in their press conference. While they claim that the health director of the county agrees with their assessment, the Kern County Health Director quickly put out a statement that he didn't agree with them and did agree with the stay at home orders.

Among the topics addressed was the claim by the two physicians, Doctors Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi- who are also the owners of Accelerated Urgent Care- that the director of Kern Public Health, Matt Constantine, was in agreement with their statements to re-open Kern County.

“The doctor at Accelerated has spoken with our director. Our director has not concurred with the statements that were made yesterday about the need to re-open at this time," Michelle Corson, Public Information Officer for Kern County Public Health, said.

Public Health says that in order to flatten the curve and get the county moving again, maintaining social distancing for the time being is essential.

And when asked if the doctors’ remarks endanger the greater public health, Corson said they’re following the advice of the country’s best experts.

“There are top medical minds in our state, in our county, in our nation that are providing this guidance to us. And we concur that these are actions that we should be taking right now and we are steadfast in our recommendation to our community to continue this," Corson said.

As with many things Mo brings here, I'm sympathetic to their plight, but not impressed with their analysis.

Expect them to be making an appearance on Fox, in the time slot previously reserved for Diamond and Silk. I didn't honestly know these two were sisters, but in retrospect, I guess I should have seen the resemblance...

Co-owners of an urgent-care clinic.

Have you ever had to sit in an in an urgent care clinic waiting room for a couple hours? You got people hacking, wheezing and sneezing all around you. Nobody sane would go there these days if at all possible to avoid.

What an embarrassing, ignorant fool. Did he get his MD theough mail order, because he is so badly misinformed about so many things that it is hard to know where to start. Did Trump University issue fake MD degrees?

close enough

Dr. Daniel Erickson, DO is an emergency medicine specialist in Bakersfield, CA and has been practicing for 16 years. Here's a dose of reality from a 60 year old Ohio guy who a month ago posted this....

McDaniel angrily dismissed coronavirus concerns last month and said Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s stay-at-home order was “bulls--t.”

“Does anybody have the guts to say this COVID-19 is a political ploy? Asking for a friend. Prove me wrong,” he wrote March 13 on Facebook.

Days later, the Republican governor announced a stay-at-home order.

“He doesn’t have that authority. If you are paranoid about getting sick just don’t go out. It shouldn’t keep those of us from living our lives,” McDaniel wrote. “The madness has to stop.”

That was a month ago.

He died from Corona virus.

The American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine provided a scathing rebuke of comments made last week by Accelerated Urgent Care Drs. Daniel Erickson and Artin Messihi.

The statement, in part, says, “As owners of local urgent care clinics, it appears these two individuals are releasing biased, non-peer reviewed data to advance their personal financial interests without regard for the public’s health.”

So he's an Osteopath, which is like an MD, but without the pesky science.

We are going through a period of the Age of Ignorance disguised as Enlightenment.

When you got the leader of the free world telling us that injecting bleach into your body is a cure... in 2070 when historians study this current generation, they must wonder how we got so dumb despite access to all sort of technological advancement in teaching, information, understanding of how the brain works etc.

Ordinarily I'd say "have at it" to these morons, but unfortunately their moronic behavior...egged on by Donald Trump...has massive collateral damage. Not only are these idiots endangering their own lives (and delaying the "reopening" of the economy) but they're endangering everyone else's lives with their truculent stupidity.

Once again, this is your modern day "pro-life" Republican Party. Total fools. Only this time they're endangering us all.

I wish this were only a dream. Unfortunately, we wake up to the reality every day (our POTUS is advocating injecting BLEACH into ourselves!!!). And we have idiots who cheer this idiocy on.

We're witnessing the end of an empire. And sorry guys...there is absolutely Z E R O excuse for not voting for Biden. None. Nada. Full stop.

It's a horrible line of thought but maybe some of these morons have to die to save others. You'd like to think that his death was a wake call to his family, friends and associates. He might have saved their lives by being clueless.

I hear there are some chiropractors on YouTube who doubt Covid-19 is serious. I think Dr. Todd and Dr. Rachael said it's a hoax, so the May Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Yale, Harvard, the CDC, the NIH, and everyone else can kiss my ass! I'm going to Walmart!

At this rate, I will just buy a doctor's coat or gown (from China no doubt) and start dishing out medical advice.

Thanks for sharing this. That said, I also felt it was important to let everyone know that the '60 year old Ohio guy' is not me ;)

This is true. It’s not exactly bumble, but it is definitely a non-dense city that hasn’t been hit. When they start cherry picking hospitals across the country...my pancreas starts to hurt.

Those two morons are about to have a hurt business.

All of this just puts a finer point on how scary it is that you can almost literally find justification for any belief or behavior if you look hard enough - and have your computer security settings on to allow untrusted or unsafe sites.

Why do so many right wingers want to find sources that say the virus isn’t serious? What is gained by that? Especially in light of the actual numbers and measures from across the globe. I honestly don’t get it.

LOL.....I could have known this was a joke by who posted it and the "real doctors" title. I didn't need to watch any of it.

There are quack doctors all over the country and the world. It is truly amazing the pedestal people put anyone with a "Dr" in front of their name on.

More than likely this was just the particular poster stumbling across a social media post that affirmed their personal belief. I can find videos from "real doctors" that will argue for every bizarre conspiracy theory on earth. So ****ing what?

Every govt policy is being driven by "real doctors" as well....FWIW.

Those sources fit their narrative. Values. Getting back to work. Getting back to life. Normalcy. Valued more than the lives of folks they view as infirm or minorities. Most right wingers i know also view it as way overblown and/or not really impacting their lives. blacks at house parties in chicago. old people in nursing homes. not white joe blow right winger wanting to go back to his job.

How many of the people acting this way are actually out of work by a stay at home order?
Where I live. A ton. And you have to remember "out of work" is really only part of the picture. the larger picture is their business is decimated. while they can technically go back to work, there's no business because of the stay orders.

I’m sympathetic to that. But like the article I posted a few days ago, their business has been decimated by the pandemic, not a stay at home order.

That's fine, but how many people did that idiot spread it to before he embarrassingly kicked the bucket?
