Not true but good try
Uh, it wasn't a try. Those are 247 rankings of every recruit he landed, at Dayton obviously.
Not true but good try
I know you see it because you, unlike these fools, know basketball. Something happened after that game and the team has been dysfunctional since. This isn't an offense defense issue, it's a chemistry and player management issue.
Coach lost this team and there is obvious disgruntlement among the players. Much like this board there is a malcontent or a few on the team. Just as Mrs Williams' tweet and Fishers transfer before it showed us that there was a disruptive personality on that team. Mr Smith's tweets combined with Justin's play and then Devonte's suspension, may be showing the same about this.
I hope no one can see, since your talking out your ass. Your new conspiracy theory is based on a disgruntled dad's tweets. This is getting comical.
This isn't difficult to figure out. The answer is Archie isn't good enough to win at IU.
Hi
His last two years at Dayton (HIS RECRUIT) produced a 146 and 53, that’s not concerning seriously.
After the Maryland game before the chemistry issues reared their ugly head. We were in the 30s in offense and 20s in defense. IIRC reaching a high of 19 in each at one point in the season and lowest in each being low 30's (until Maryland). Including being top 4 nationally in 2pt FG%, and top 8 in EFG%. Since the maryland game we have dropped 40+ spots in offense.

This gives Arch an F for the season because it's his job to recruit the right kids, motivate and manage them. and he's failing. If this is the case, he needs to take control and kick some ass or it will extend into next season.
I actually find it interesting to watch him go through the worst of seasons and seeing how he responds. This next few months into next year will tell us a lot about him. The losing kinda sucks though .. but one season does not a coach make.
I brought this up before: remember the two Cor(e)y's that tore Nova apart and convinced Wright to recruit character over stars? Maybe Archie needs to learn the same lesson.
Good news though, TO's are down. lol..........
I said "may" .. it means "expressing possibility" . Words have meaning, read carefully in the future..
And the second part of your post - based on what? Your expertise at watching a TV in a greasy beer stained t-shirt while growing ever fatter on your lazy boy, or did you expand your knowledge by playing EA sports NCAA on nintendo?

Syracuse made it in to the tourney last season with OEF ranked #150 but a #26 defense. Just one example but considering Cuse is known for defense, and that is the direction Archie is going, I'd say a great defense and an OK offense will do the job most years.
His offense has not been good, I actually was going to post that over the summer but figured I'd get a ton of negative posts. But still, we won't know for sure until he has healthy players with some experience that he recruited.
Be honest. Did you keep stats for your high school basketball team? There is no way you developed that profound basketball intellect by just reading kenpom.
Also, EA sports was sega. I developed my knowledge playing double dribble on ninetendo. Never shoot the three straight on.
Some IU fans are mean and nasty not all. Some think they can coach this team back to the glory years. We must be patient . You do not know what he inherited. It takes time to build a culture. He needs four years minimum with his own recruits. The expectations at IU are unrealistic. It is not Arhie's fault the kids do not play hard. Archie cannot make the shots for them. IU fans are mean and nasty.

Oh cool an analytics expert ..
I have some questions.
l;
I have no clue about Dayton and I am not looking it up but I will try and answer your analytics
and it depends on the results of such play
- Did Miller's team shoot a lot of transition 3's above the FT line?
- How does this affect off and def efficiency?
Crashing boards boost offensive efficiency if successful and but if it leaves you exposed in transition it can hurt your defensive efficiency
- Did his teams crash offensive boards?
- How does this affect off and def efficiency?
Steals boost Defensive efficiency, but again can boost offensive efficiency do to fast breaks do you get the general picture. raw Efficiency is just how good your are at at scoring and playing defense on a per possesion generally scaled to 100 possesion so take any basketball knowledge and apply it.
- Did his teams create offense through a high amount of steals?
- How does this affect off and def efficiency?
- What was the pure PPP number not the SOS adjusted?
- You can look it up on Basketball reference.com under more team stats at the top of the page as ortg and Drtg (not not individual player OTG as thats and estimate)
- and what was the relative SOS for those seasons?
- SOS is more tricky Kenpom will have it listed if you just find the year and look at the Strength of Schedule. Kenpom will just give the mean of all of the opponents a team has faced. Their are other SOS metrics that try to measure the expected results of an average or a top 25 team will have against a schedule that are a little differetn.
- How do these affect kenpom off and def efficiency?
Kempom measures adjusted efficiency so it takes the raw efficiency numbers and adjusts it per the opponents level. Its not an exact science to account for every factor there are other sites that do this and Vegas as well if they aren't using his.
ADJ E is basically just how good your team has been over the season without just the wins and losses almost looking at it as one long game. So its not much of real difference than the question of whether or not a team is good do to talent or coaching.
- Is there a direct correlation between high talent level and overall efficiency or is it purely relative to coaching only?
and yes, Crean did have 30 plus defenses. 3 times. 30, 21, 19 are his highs.
It could just mean he had a lot of talent that could then play defense especially if his Offensive rating was better. Good Players just playing good defense. But it does mean he had a top 25 rated defense that year.
- Does that make Crean a good defensive coach?
I’m ready for Hillary!!! LmaoLOL you ARE a trumptard!
I should have known with your 3rd grade literacy level and lack of fundamental understanding of basketball combined with a willingness to put that ignorance on full display.
So typical .. Another drooling slack jawed rube.
He’s a typical liberal thinks he’s smarter than everyone else no use arguing with him. You will never change their mind he’s infected like all liberals.I said "may" .. it means "expressing possibility" . Words have meaning, read carefully in the future..

Some also think a 7 game I mean a 8 game losing streak isn’t acceptable especially when Creans longest losing streak was 11 games!!! PatheticSome IU fans are mean and nasty not all. Some think they can coach this team back to the glory years.
At least you're almost humorous and don't get bent out of shape.
Calling for a coach's head especially when done when losing and from people who really don't understand enough to judge a coach on TV eye test alone, is fan silliness at best and most likely just a case of butthurt.
Let the guy do his job, he has a great reputation among his peers, if he fails he'll get fired, there's no prize for bitching constantly or being the first to bitch.
If you are going to complain, and make claims like that with absolutely no reasoning or example to back it with, don't. It's nothing but a troll.
This isn't a Justin Bieber fan board where everything is like and hate and silly rationalizations pass as fact.
Critique instead, without emotion, without bias, objectively, and with whatever knowledge you have and whatever reasoning you possess.
Why is that too much to ask?
The constant bleating are just trolling and tantrums. Y'all bitch about quality of the team while exhibiting no understanding of the word in your posts.

Your ego has to be badly damaged after all your assurances are unraveling.
I’m starting to feel bad for you. No one deserves to be this wrong and this crushed.
There are people out there who can help you.
i have not witnessed any flex offenseI think he's changed the offense a little, going with more flex reads. He posted Romeo a couple of times yesterday which is a flex move where you invert a backcourt dude with a frontcourt dude.
I also think he's expanded the defense a little. We're starting out further expanded than before. Instead of picking up right inside the three point line we're picking up at out outside of it.
I could be wrong.
He could be throwing shit to the wall hoping it sticks which is leading to internal frustration.
Dude this is what liberals do if you don’t agree with them you are an idiot, racist, misogynistic, mouth breather, Trumptard...etc, etc.The issue is a lot of your posts boil down to, agree with me, and if you don't your an idiot (I don't mind it, but I'm going to give it back to you, if I think your full shit)
As you can see, all of your paragraphs, in your second post, lead with some vague claims, backed up by no facts, and end with some sort of ad hominem attack.
This back and forth started (the first two paragraphs) because you made a rationalization that part of the issue with this team's chemistry stems from a disgruntled parents tweets (yes I know that was only part of your reasoning). Like clockwork you included your standard ad hominem attack. Stating anyone who doesn't see it is a fool. Of course the thing we are suppose to see is immeasurable and based on zero facts, but rather pure conjecture.
Now that your straw man is in place, you then proceed to shift blame from Archie and focus the blame on the players and start throwing out cliche terms, to try and absolve Archie of blame. None of us are privy to the teams chemistry or leadership and it's pure sausage when people start opining on it. Also, who gives a shit if it's the players? Archie is still responsible for the mess.
Some facts (and opinions) on why I think this dumpster fire is going to continue:
Most mid-major coaches end up getting fired when they move up to Power 5 schools. Archie had good success at Dayton, but wasn't outstanding. He only won 68% of his games, which isn't great. The school average is 60%.
The previous coach (Brian Gregory) won around 64% of his games and moved up to a Power 5 school and ended up being fire. My opinion is most people's premise, that Archie is great coach, is wrong (obviously people can/will disagree with this).
Year 1 at IU:
We were 0-8 against teams that made the NCAA tourney. We had 3 awful losses against Fort Wayne, Indiana State, and Rutgers (to end the year). We had one good win against Notre Dame. My opinion is he under performed and should have won at least two more games.
Year 2 at IU:
We currently have two really good wins against Marquette and L'ville. We have between 4-6 bad losses and are currently on a 7 game losing streak in the Big Ten. I can't point to one player who has improved, since November. I think almost everyone agrees we are a complete disaster right now and Archie is underperforming. One last sobering fact. With the lost to Rutgers, Crean, now has a better winning percentage than Archie overall and in the Big Ten.
To be clear I don't enjoy any of this. I have 3 young kids and it's difficult to squeeze in time to watch the games. I do agree you can call my fool for continuing to watch IU basketball.
