I'm incredibly excited and incredibly nervous. Wish this game was in Bloomington. Prediction thread coming tomorrow.
I am excited but not nervous, IU has shown me they play their best each week which why the second half against Michigan was puzzling to me.
Im not necessarily nervous about losing. I am always nervous about not showing up and playing well, but this team has proven several times over that is a thing of the past. As long as we play the way we have all year the outcome is what it is. This game is all I have thought about for weeks. Saying I’m excited/anxious is an understatement. 😁
I’m the least nervous I’ve been all season. IU playing with house money, 2 weeks to prepare and the coaching staff is now set up for years to come. Ohio State has way more riding on this game. They start slow. Have an over emotional QB. A couple of jerks running the program. A geriatric crowd. I’m all in!!!!
In the end, it's just a game. Make of it what you will. That said, the stakes are huge and the range of outcomes is wide. I'll be very nervous, probably the most since the '02 Title game.
We all know there is a range of possibilities on Saturday. I don't want to see the ugly one, and I'm cautiously optimistic we won't.

I'm not worried about an ugly outcome. Look, if we totally smash Ohio State, our guys will just say 'we respect their team, they played hard' etc. They'll understand.

As far as getting nervous about a football game played by well paid professionals loosely affiliated with my university - I'm pretty nervous. I feel this game is the chance to validate whether IU is a very good team or "just" a good top 25 team. I'm more excited than nervous.
The last game I was actually nervous about was PU in the bball championship, as them getting a banner nearly 40 years since IU got their last one would have been unbearable, especially given the way the season played out for IU and the "true fans" nonsense.

My biggest concern is not letting things get away from us in the first quarter,I worry about a slow start.
I think it’s crucial that we are either ahead at halftime or within a touchdown.
If that happens I like our chances in the second half.

I'm excited like a little kid. Just enhances the overall value of my IU life experience. Attending IU (didn't apply anywhere else) was one of my best decisions. Go Hoosiers! Happy holidays!
It’s so helpful having confidence in their execution, based on Coach C’s approach with disciplined practices and the Hoosier’s performance to date. From the Michigan game, they have experience hanging in when off their game. I’m intensely (vs. nervously) looking forward to it.
I wouldn't overthink it. The 2 Sarratt drops were huge and uncharacteristic. With those, IU goes on to at least get FG's if not TD's and keeps UM's offense and our defense, off the field.
Any defense that spends the majority of time on the field is going to end up looking worse than they are so we need our offense to sustain drives and keep our defense fresh. I don't think OSU has near as good a defense as UM has. I genuinely think UM is the best defense in college football, based on the amount of talent they returned. The problem is their offense is so bad that their defense is on the field way too often and can get worn down. I don't think OSU will do that to IU. It will be more of a shootout like Oregon and OSU.
We got nuttin to lose! Even if we win, the SEC lovers will just say that OSU sucks so screw them. You can only beat the team in front of you and let the butthurt crowd do the worrying and bitching for themselves
I was literally going to say that we're playing with house money. Anything above and beyond that we get is icing on top.
Remember at the beginning of the year, people (me included) were saying just go to a bowl and some were questioning if we'd even be competitive with out g5 all star squad.
We were all wrong, except Floor. He might have been the only 12-0 prediction.
if Cig improves the program to say Iowa level for the next 10 years, that would be an incredible accomplishment. the opportunity we have Saturday might not happen again for 30 years. or ever for that matter. so yes, I'm nervous as hell about this game, we just have to play a competitive game, and we are going to the playoffs who in the hell would have ever thought that.
Everything broke perfectly this season so far. we will probably have better teams that will have to face 3 or 4 top 15 teams on the road in a given year. need to take advantage of this chance to crash the playoffs.
I'm nervous because I really really know we can, and want us to win by 30 or 40 but also I know Ohio St. is a good team with a 20 million dollar payroll, also there will be bad and phantom calls, so IU might end up only winning a close game.
