6'3" Italian 18U PG Davide Moretti official visit to IU

You really think the fans on a message board is the reason Crean got fired.

Yes, I think that was part of it.

Those same "message board fans" stayed away from the cupcake games and Glass didn't like the complaints about that either.....or the sight of the empty seats and lost revenue.

Archie now has in his contract his can't schedule that garbage anymore.

Sure he did

When Glass announced the opening, pundits said it sounded like a love letter to Alford.

Alford begged for the job and, if you noticed, waited to say "flat out wasn't interested" until the day before Archie was hired.

They said Glass was blown away at the negative feedback on him.

I am very happy with Coach Archie Milller! I would go with the #1 priority is a tall center who can actually play and possibly dominate the glass. There are only a small number of people on the planet who are 6'10" or taller and have good basketball skills. You can recruit a good PG every year from Indiana HS teams if you need one, but good Centers are harder to find due to the bell curve of human height.

Sorry mate, it's almost the definition of hyperbolic. If your young daughter does something awful even though she knows better because a teenager told it her it was OK would you lecture her by saying, "That is how Hitler came to power"? Almost certainly not because that would be equating her with Nazis. While a number of posters here may not be rocket scientists, none of them deserve to be similarly equated with Nazis just because they backed TC.

While it might be a minor point there is a flaw in your logic. At it's peak, the Nazi party was only about 10% of the German population. That is 8 million Nazis out of 80 million Germans. That 80 million figure does include children so the 10% figure would be higher but card carrying Nazis never reached 50%. It was the common German citizens that brought Hitler to power.

Except that it wasn't my "logic", as you call it, that made an assertion as to why Hitler came to power - your post should be directed at that person. Am guilty of many things but this isn't one of them.

I'm in for Chef Boyardee..

Disclaimer, I am not comparing Crean to Hitler. Afterall, Hitler never tracked deflections.

He never mentioned the word Nazi, it was you who brought that into the discussion.

Really? Yet another reason not to engage in magical thinking. That and expressing an opinion with at least four grammatical errors in one sentence leaves me breathless in anticipation of your next declaration.
My next declaration will be basketball related, I promise. Go IU

Grammar errors aside, I'd have voted for Literally Hitler over that corrupt, odious hag. So I'm okay with Trump until something better comes along. Not my first choice, but...

Told ya. Now a Dunning- Kruger sufferer has entered the discussion. Is there anything more worthless in current society than a fact free science denying cult follower?

And Godwin is borne out yet a second time in the same thread. Alas. Wrong forum for political outgassing, try the OTF. No facts/objectivity required, much more your native element/comfort zone I suspect...

In case you missed it, Traitor Trump's entire staff is in bed with the Russians and he's breaking the law left and right trying to stop the investigation.

Also, his Muslim banned only covered countries where he didn't have a hotel. Go figure.
I see someone has drank every drop of the kool-aid.

Too bad you can't refute a single word I said.

It sure is odd that everyone in Traitor Trump's circle "forgot" they talked to the Russians.

Also, you do know his casinos are under investigation for money laundering because they failed to repeatedly monitor their operations......and that they catered a lot to the Russian mob, right?

And Trump's own kids bragged they got a ton of money from Russians when no one else would loan them money.

It sure is funny that Righties will believe every single bat-sheet crazy conspiracy theory with zero proof if it involves the Dems but call EVERY story about Righties "fake news" when there's LOTS of evidence for it.

Your Messiah bragged he fired Comey over the Russian investigation. What's he afraid of?
These 0.50 words don't impress me. When someone has some facts it will be more impressive.

He was the coach at IU and should have been backed. He is no longer here so why are we still talking about him. If you back a coach that does not mean you agreed with everything he did but ripping your coach never helps a situation either.

Oh geez -- so we should have all waited until the point in the season when you wanted him gone, Scott?

You weren't doing the right thing or smart thing. You were doing the self-obsessed thing...the tunnel-vision thing....the iuscott thing...

So, you're saying that a guy who was (1) a partner at one of Indiana's largest law firms, (2) chief of staff for Governor Bayh, (3) president of the Marion County Capital Improvement Board, and (4) president of the 2011 Indianapolis Super Bowl Committee, couldn't make up his mind whether to fire Crean until I gave him my input on an anonymous message board?

Thank you. I'm flattered (but I don't think we had much to do with it).

What CEO doesn't listen to his or her customers? Sure, big ones first but it's all part of the picture.

Keep in mind he quoted the Members Only Jacket thread from this very board in his first presser after firing Creaner.

Not sure why you guys are taking such a weird stance on this. Go talk to the leaders of the companies you work for. They look for input wherever they can get it.

Interviewing customers that (1) have a face, (2) have a name and (3) are confirmed to actually be customers is different than an anonymous message board. Even anonymous customer/public opinion surveys are different than a anonymous message board. I doubt too many leaders do what you are advising them to do.

Something that hasn't been mentioned in this thread is the fact that Moretti is Italian and thus may have a slight partiality toward the Axis powers and therefore Hitler.

As VanPastorMan pointed out earlier in this thread he may have mob connections as well.

Do we really want a Nazi Mobster on our team?

Food for thought.

Ignorance as art? An antidote to reason? Proof of retrograde evolution? This is breathtakingly asinine even for you.

Not just "you", Billy Bob. Lots and lots and lots of fans. If you don't think schools read the boards, you're crazy.

Many of those fans stayed away from games too....and he noticed.

Many also called and wrote letters too......just like they did with their displeasure over his wanting to hire Alford.

If Glass "didn't listen to us peons", why is he demanding no more cupcakes on the schedule?

If they didn't care what was said on the boards, they wouldn't read them and comment about them.

so the makers of Bounty paper towels, for instance, know the names of their customers?

Nope

Owners care what the plebs think. Sorry if that doesn't fit your narrative...

It took only 5 years to get it done. Also if you think the people on the message boards are the one to get him fired then you are very naïve. it was the big donors who got him fired and not a bunch of fans on a message board.
I wouldn't just assume that there aren't any significant donors on the message boards. You might be surprised who some of these people are.

Just so we're clear, you prefer the attempted extermination of the Jewish community/the gruesome death of millions, to Hillary Clinton? Do you understand what "literally" means?

I cannot stand Hillary Clinton, but I seriously weep for the rampant stupidity in this country right now.

Actually I'm fairly certain he's right about the hotel thing. Hillary Clinton is a corrupt politician like most politicians. I have no idea, however, why people think Donald Trump is some regular Joe and not corrupt as hell. He's been shady his entire life. He was born into money and literally lives in a penthouse covered top to bottom in gold. We will see on the Russia stuff, but it's hard to deny his involvement in some shady crap over the years, that many people just seem content to ignore.

Those freaks truly are sick.

Rampant stupidity is coming from the left on a daily basis. Look in the mirror at how much vitriol is out there from those that are so out of touch with reality they actually still can not believe Trump is their President. Get a grip on main stream America and then maybe you will have a clue.

Mainstream? That must be why your jackass lost the popular vote by almost 3 million ballots and currently has the lowest approval level of any sitting US president in history this early in a term.
