Well, OK, here is my annual pitch to remind true basketball fans (especially the ones who wrongly think basketball has been ruined by the AAU and McDonalds and NIL) that excellent basketball will once again be on display on June 11 at Southport Fieldhouse.
Duh, it's the
82-year-old Indiana/Kentucky All-Star Game.

82 years??? Are you kidding me?? That's about 13 times how long most of the Water Cooler's regulars were able to stay married their first time (and for some of them the second and third times, too).
Also, 82 years is about 5 times the duration of several European
governments since WWI.
There must be a reason an event has lasted this long. In all the games I attended in the past, the kids that play in this game have played their asses off in this game. You will definitely see defense and sound coaching. They will hit their foul shots. They will get pissed if they commit turnovers.
No Kentucky players will show the cowardice of Calipari to even show up at a game in Indiana. Both sides try to win the entire game. If you love fundamental basketball, you won't be disappointed.
