BUT even in the unlikely of a Republican trifecta he could not get any thing significant through Congress. To be clear the R’s wouldn’t blow up the filibuster

That will depend on how obstructionist the Senate Ds are. They (the Pubs) would do it if they thought they had no other choice, like the Dems did when the Rs refused to allow Obama to appoint any judges, and when the Ds weren't going to allow Trump to appoint Gorsuch.

I worked in a microbiology lab for the 2nd largest egg producer in the country.

Almost all production people were Hispanics. Guess what, they had identification and social security numbers. How else do you fill out an I-9 form. That would allow them access to benefits too.

How did they get them? They buy their identification from identity theives
We know that plants raided in 2019 never checked the I-9 information:

A PH Food employee, acting as a confidential informant, told Homeland Security investigators that the vast majority of the 240 employees at PH's plant in Morton and the 80 employees at A&B's plant in Pelahatchie didn't have proper work documents, including many Guatemalans.
The informant said employees used their real names and made-up Social Security numbers to apply for jobs at PH and A&B. "The payroll companies, as well as PH Food Inc. and A&B Inc. do not verify the authenticity of their documents," the informant told investigators. Mississippi state law requires employers to check documents using E-Verify, an otherwise voluntary online federal system.

1. How many times has crime been reported incorrectly. Gtfo. She was a defund bail project cops are murderers moron
2. Why don’t you compare border crossing numbers by administrations. Title 42 remain in Mexico and asylum agreements and the spike that followed. The bill was dogshit codifying 1.8 million a year.
3. People care about prices. We don’t live anywhere but here. Free cheese progressive bs is the legacy.

In 1970 1% of Americans depended on the Government ! Today that number is 50% of Americans depend on the Government for help. There’s no self pride anymore.

Was he trying to say Schwarber isn't recognizable? I'm not going through and trying to find his original post, but if he is....well, he isn't very bright. And not only do I agree about your opinions on Betty, I'm pretty sure she doesn't watch gameday anyway.
Nope. I said he isn't AS recognizable as the others. I'm not anti-schwarber but most any non-baseball fan wouldn't have a clue who he is. That's just facts.

Out of curiosity, to try and get a ballpark read on the broader public reaction to Schwarber, we can look at the number of views each of the nine guest pickers this year have received on GameDay’s guest announcement post on X/Twitter.

In the half a day or so since the announcement, Schwarber's views (1 million+) already exceeded three of them (Dawn Staley, Michael Phelps, Blake Shelton). He'll most likely pass Johnny Manziel today. I can't really predict how many more views are coming, but he'll end up between #3 to #5 out of nine on announcement post views.

Not bad... IU isn't exactly the biggest FB program around to drive views. And the vast majority of the comments are very positive. We seem to be in good shape with our guest picker.
Lmao! Yeah, they're clicking to view it because they're thinking, "who the hell is this?"

As Uncle Milton (who was generally a vocal advocate of immigration) pointed out, the question of how beneficial immigration is to a society needs to be examined through a lens of their productivity balanced against their consumption of social welfare benefits.

There is a lot of data on this question and, to my reading of it, it’s a mixed bag and not nearly as clear cut as it was in the late 19th and early 20th centuries…when our welfare state wasn’t anywhere near the size it is now.

In the below video, he says that illegal immigration is better than legal immigration, because they don’t qualify for most public benefits.

I would say, anecdotally, that my observed experience is that these folks tend to have pretty robust work ethics.

Brown vs Moreno is close. Brown seems to be outspending Moreno in TV ads. It can go either way, but don't be surprised if it goes to Brown. Trump doesn't seem to be pulling Moreno over the finish line.
That Brown will likely survive while Trump carries Ohio is reflected in most current polls. Let me be clear. The Democrat party powers see this election as their best chance in years, looking ahead or behind, to have the trifecta and be able to aggressively make major policy changes. Meanwhile “good Republicans” (I use Liz Chaney as the face of that group) allow their hatred of Trump to blind them to the harm the Democratic trifecta would bring. I very much understand Trump is terrible, IMO worst occupant of the White House since LBJ. BUT even in the unlikely of a Republican trifecta he could not get any thing significant through Congress. To be clear the R’s wouldn’t blow up the filibuster, and the D’s are looking at which issue to use to do just that. So how is Trump running so far ahead of Moreno in Ohio where one would expect the MAGAs and good R’s to both land on Moreno?

CBS Top 100

Muscle memory. It’s kind of like how I still know how to beat all the boxers in Mike Tyson’s punch out… hundreds of thousands of reps mean I’ll be able to make 3 pointers as long as my arms work and I’m able to stand.

If I was guarded as closely as Mgbako usually is I would be lucky to make 20 out of 100. If I had to move to get to my shots, that number probably goes pretty close to 0.
how old are you? I have a shoulder injury (I'm sure it's a rotator cuff) that makes shooting from any distance, even FTs, a lot harder. It's weaker, but also like a mechanical "catch" and I just can't control the ball nearly as well. I can still shoot FTs OK, but not nearly as well and they just come out flat. When it was really bad, I'd try and shoot normally and the ball would only go a few feet. At least I haven't had the "other" dysfunction a lot of older guys get!

Have you ever tried FT golf? I always tried to get the kids I coached to play it between practices and would see who had the best score. You shoot 18 FTs, and a swish (absolutely no rim) is a birdie, a make w any rim is a par and a miss is a bogey. I'm guessing you can get to double digits under par. I think my best ever was -9. It really is a great drill because you'll be kind of frustrated that you aren't scoring very well and then realize you made like 16 of 18 FTs. Helps way more of your off shots still be makes.

Meh, you are way off base and out on left field. Schwarbs while not an MVP was a valuable piece on both teams. And Vic would have been a fine choice also. This is for us and I could give less than a crap if Betty in Vermont doesn’t know who he is.

Got a phone call yesterday from my guy in the ticket office

Don't think you are required to do selection every year. You can opt to just keep your previous seats. I opt in for selection every year to see if I can improve my location but generally end up staying in the same seats, which are reserved for me until I make a selection. As someone said, the seats reset after next season so it will just come down to priority points as to where you end up.
It was me that said the next stadium re-seating is supposed to be for the 2026 season but that I won't be surprised to see that move up a year.

Poll: Fascist vs Progressive

With a gun to my head and choosing between the two, under the assumption that they not only both fully embrace their respective labels but also their current popular definitions/iterations, I would vote for the fascist.

Why? Because the fascist is up front about who they are, while the progressive is nothing more than a fascist in a Robin Hood costume.

I don’t believe in malignant narcissists
My wife and I weren't going to vote. We are now. I already told willdog I'm canceling his. My wife's vote will be to cancel out your hatred.

And don't give me this fake I used to be a republican crap. This election isn't about Trump. It's about keeping the party of dei and hate out of office.

Organize a mob to storm the Capitol and prevent the EC votes from being counted?
I know that was said in jest but there are some scenarios that could make conversations super interesting here next year, no?

And logically, if you think American Hitler is about to take the Presidency, that should call for some pretty drastic measures no? Or, hear me out, all this fascist talk is just more of the same hyperbole that always gets dumped on Republican candidates, particularly when things don't appear to be looking well and their opposition is in panic mode. (That in no way is me saying this election is in the bag for Trump, but I do think the Harris folks are freaking out a bit.)
