MSU

All I know about M$U is that they lit up Iowa's D for 32 points and they just ran inside successfully against MI who's supposed to have one of the top D lines in college football...

If you add an inside running game with a QB (Chiles) that can run and throw (which they have) then you have your hands full when it comes to defending their Offense.. They have a solid RB (Carter), a decent TE (Velling) and a dangerous freshman WR (Marsh)... Throw in an Offensive Line that can clearly run block and we've got problems...

Fortunately the M$U Defense doesn't look as formidable as their Offense... They don't swarm the ball and they'll be missing their starting ILB for the first Half... The backup (ILB) is from Old Dominion so at least one of our players and several of our coaches are familiar with his tendencies...

Their starting Long Snapper (who appeared to have had either a knee or ankle injury versus MI) played for James Madison last season (boy did he chose poorly)... If he plays against us his injury might give us some enhanced return possibilities on punts... If the starter doesn't play his backup might provide some kick block possiblities...

Historically, the Spartans have at least one, or sometimes even two, prepaid Big Ten Ref(s) leaning their way when we play them, so watch for the no calls when it comes to their OL Holding and their DB's committing Pass Interference..., while the same type of calls Are made against us...

I expect our toughest game of the year up there. Let's hope we can keep our Win streak going...

*(changed my mind..., with Rourke starting I think we're going to light them up)*

MSU

They let an anemic offense like UM get 24 points. Supposedly their strength on D is against the run. They’ve not had a sack in, I believe, 4 games. I think we should go for at least 31 or more with TJ and continued strong run game. Hopefully more.

Their QB is a very good athlete who makes some wow plays with both his feet and arm, but throws a lot of picks, so decision-making poor. Hoping IU D can give him lots of confusing looks. Their frosh WR is a real problem. Big, strong, fast. Look for Ponds to be matched up with him, hopefully with some help. IU DL should be able to get after the QB, but will need to not let him get loose.

Update . . .

my neurologist just resigned. The appointment I've been waiting for since March has been canceled. Don't know when it will be rescheduled. Anybody know a neurologist that can get me in? I think I know the answers to my questions.
Oh man - I'm really sorry to hear this Sope. I know his specialty is ALS, but this is the Neurologist my brother saw:

Dr. Robert Pascuzzi.

Again, I don't know if that's applicable/helpful, but my brother was able to get into see him initially very quickly. Once he was a patient, they sang his praises.

Now I’m the cool friend

I’ve been going to games for 55 years.
Sat through oppressive heat, extreme cold, rain and snow.
Went to games by myself when I couldn’t give away a ticket.
I’ve had numerous surgeries and health issues the past 4 years so I have not been physically able to go to many games.
But I bought tickets for Nebraska,Washington and Michigan.
I was in so much pain yesterday I was almost in tears but I don’t regret going Saturday for a minute.
I’ve been waiting for this for 55 years and if I had to crawl I was going to be there.
My Dad started taking me to games when I was 10,sure wish he was still here to see this.
Now my IU basketball buddies who have given me Hell for wasting my time and money on IU football are hitting me up.
Sorry fellas not a chance but enjoy another winter of Woody 🏀
I bet almost all of us have someone we wish was here to see this. I was just saying yesterday I wish my uncle was still around.

I think Kamala win in PA is baked in. The MSG rally has no affect.

Edit.

So you're saying she's going to win? Because while I feel pretty good about PA I feel great about both MI and WI. And I'm starting to feel pretty good about GA, and have always been bullish on NC.

Sorry...was busy trying to reply to you in good faith, but see that you've moved on to snark. Enjoy.
Well, race is the entire context of the thread, hoos. It's not like it's something that just get injected in the last few posts out of nowhere.

Also, it wasn't just Puerto Ricans (who, after all, are Hispanics) that the comedian was hitting. He also hit on blacks with the watermelon thing.

Nobody else discussing the thread was talking about anything other than the racial component of the story.

I attended at least a couple games every year from the early '90s on. I started with season tickets in 2007. I kept renewing until 2022. We were pretty discouraged and I didn't see us buying season tickets again. After Cig was hired, we decided to take a leap of faith.... After a couple dozen coercion attempts by the ticket office. Glad we took the leap.

Parenting and teenage parties

Not all of us can live in BradStevens' neighborhood
That didn't happen in the neighborhood where I grew up, but it is an area I would say was my old stomping grounds. That was all middle class and considered the "snob" area just 20 to 25 years ago. It really has kind of gone downhill which is sad. Not that it is Uber dangerous but there have been some pretty high profile crazy things in areas that were like hangout spots for me as a pre-teen to teenager.

This was another. The reasons why are a tale as old as time.

Which DL tipped the pass on the Ponds TD?....

I think what the announcer was getting at was, the play was to be a backwards pass to a receiver on that side, with the TE from the opposite side being the recipient of the 2nd pass.

Our DL got enough of Rogers’ arm and/or the ball (still don’t know), giving Ponds, who’s already jumped the route, enough time to adjust and catch the fluttering pass.

The Progressive Puritans are out in full force today. I applaud the left for trying to get 0% of the male vote.
I'd say the opposite is true. When you're already down double digits among women and women are early voting at 13% more than men already, you might want to try and figure out a way to cut into the gender gap not exacerbate it. Women already vote in greater numbers than men, and will likely continue to do so up until and thru election day. None of that bodes well for Trump...
