Good question, I would expect R’s to fight Harris appointment regardless of trifecta, but IMO not a slam dunk that R’s would under R trifecta. We have digressed to the point in our divided country where political leaders sometimes value the issue more that a quick result. I didn’t make it clear but I was talking about legislation, e.g perhaps an unfettered right to an abortion or quick path to citizenship for our southern guests.

Good Russian interference article . . .

The article includes names of people, websites and some specific examples of fake news that has gone viral about Ukraine (which @Mas-sa-suta eagerly shared here, but he wasn’t the only one) and Harris and Walz (recent example is @Ty Webb iu despicable smear of Walz which he excitedly stated a thread about). These were Russian backed or sourced. Mas, it names the Russian propaganda sites you must get your pro-Russia/anti-Ukraine propaganda from but never link to.

Long read, but worthwhile and could open some eyes - you’ll recognize some of the fake news because it’s been posted here:

We don't know how many plenty is. And there are also "plenty" who pay taxes though they will never be eligible for Social Security. It is believed most people who file using a taxpayer ID number instead of Social Security are illegally in the country. The belief is that if they have a work history and pay taxes it will help them if the opportunity to become citizen every arises.

That ‘79 Holiday Bowl victory he starred in over previously undefeated BYU was one of the epic IU football games in a short list of epic games, historically.

I expect a moment of silence at Saturday’s game in his memory.

Tim is the only IU QB I can recall who adorned his upper lip with a mustache.

Men with mustaches have a natural bond with one another. There’s a left-eyed wink we give each other upon passing, a good for you/good for me sort of acknowledgement. I’ve been a mustache wearer for 53 continuous years now. The same goes for those who wear bolo ties only its merely a head nod in mutual respect. I wear a bolo tie only on special occasions and will be sporting mine at Saturday’s game, in honor of Tim and his ‘79 reunion team. So, if you’re at the game and see a mustached dude with a bolo tie and big, shit-eating grin on face, please introduce yourself while offering me a cold beer.

Yeah, I'm under no illusions about any of that.

Formally, illegal immigrants don't qualify for many benefits (especially federal benefits). Realistically, I'm sure there are lots of them who get them. That's no different than any other public assistance programs -- be it SNAP, TANF, SS/Medicare, Medicaid, or PPP....there is almost certainly a significant level of fraud. How much is anybody's guess.
