Peacock Network?

It's like $8/month, and you can cancel anytime. I should cancel it every summer honestly. It's a must have for Liverpool and IU sports imo. They have very little content I watch other than sports though. My pops is 78 and he couldn't possibly have setup Peacock for himself. I added it to his Roku and he still has trouble finding the games. I am not making fun of any of the older crowd complaining about this because the pain is real for my pops with all the streaming.
I totally agree. I was super pissed when NBC restricted access to the Premier League after providing it for the first few years and adding the "Gold Package." With that being said, Peacock is the single most crucial subscription I have now.

Peacock Network?

My plan is Radio with the Oregon -Michigan Game on TV with the sound off. I figure I can listen with both ears and I've seen enough football over the years to figure out what is happening on the Tv Screen without sound. And Yes, I am part of the age gap difference on this question. If You would have told Me 25 Years ago that I would be this dependent on my computer for information and services, I would have told You, You were crazy. On the other side of the Equation, at my age (73 in 10 days), I don't have the technical expertise or patience to deal with trying to download things and get Them to work properly.
The alternate Plan is to take the radio and cold beverage outside with Me and during Commercial Breaks, Shake My Fist at the Clouds or Yell at Kids to get off my grass. I'm just ageing so gracefully.
If you're in Btown, I'll come setup Peacock for you

No more ponies in the stable...

I can't justify paying extra for a sports channel while I'm still paying astronomical medical bills (3 years of various types of Chemo & T cell therapy plus multiple weeks in the hospital [off and on]... I'm evidently paying for myself and a 100 other people who can't afford to pay anything (got a bill breakdown recently that had over a $1000 charge for "Recovery Room" where all they did was pull out an IV and put a bandaid on me)...

Digging out slowly but surely (I figure there's got to be a Pony down there somewhere) but spending any found disposable income on something I've theoretically already paid for once isn't happening...

I do, however, appreciate the fact that I'm very blessed to still be able to type these types of complaints (which makes the bills palatable)...
I hope you are doing well and I hope you keep doing well as chemo and fighting cancer is hard.

More attempted voter fraud (by you know who) thwarted by routine safeguards

Really is a travesty. Look at this.

2500 attempted fraudulent registrations.

Pennsylvania’s motor-voter law is a disgrace. But you keep quibbling about your one case of fraud.

All of this is so simple to solve. Citizenship verification to register (SAVE act). Same day voting. Paper ballots.
I imagine that this is more or less a case of a lazy registrant wanting to inflate his/her numbers and get paid more...

That said I'm hearing rumblings that it was a far Right group involved in trying to register voters in Lancaster Co (a GOP county) that employed the individual(s) involved

But for all of our friends who are quick to accuse "libs" of voter fraud...This may be the most blatant (and hilarious) example of illegal voting activity I've ever heard of. And notice how he had previously invoked Jesus,I guess in reference to Trump...

I can picture you doing just what you describe in the last two lines.

SCOTUS ruling VA

Maybe @Mark Milton would know what made the Virginia removal of voters non-systemic. He is the type to actually read the book club readings. As embarrassing as that fact is, it might mean something here.
Not really sure. The only thing I can think of is that in Georgia they did an audit of 8 million registered voters and found out that only 20 were registered non-citizens. I also think Virginia gives people who are removed from the voter role to register in person. Maybe that turned out to be an example of how it couldn’t be non-systemic?

It’s too bad the Supreme Court didn’t issue even just a baby opinion. Especially after reversing the court of appeals.

Haven’t been paying much attention to the news the last week and a half, I have had my fill until post election day. And yes, I do read all the book club books. Well, I take that back, I tried to read Faulkner, but he was dog shit boring

We don't even know if it is non-stsyemic. Scotus issued an unsigned order with no explanatory text. Anyone who claims they know why they ruled as they did is speculating.

Which side has more quiet or embarrassed voters this time around?

Mainly just referring to the end results not aligning with the polls leading up to the election.

In 16, the result was an absolute shock to most, and a large part of that was basically all polls had Clinton still leading in most of the key battle ground states...she ended up losing a significant chunk of them.

Seems like the results tracked much more closely to the polls leading up to the election in 20.

Doesn't have to be a crossover vote. Just a vote that a particular voter isn't confident enough to give their actual intentions to a pollster.

This is an incredibly unique dynamic this year with Harris, who has never been President, in many ways running as an "incumbent"...but with many, many more unknowns associated with what her Presidency would look like...and then Trump, who was the President recently, now running as the challenger, but everyone basically knowing who he is, and what a Trump Presidency will likely look like.

Actually, the polls were worse in 2020 than they were in 2016. But most people would be surprised to hear that, because the outcome was what everybody expected.

But the polls right now are so tight that even slight error either way could affect the outcome. And there will be some error.

A lot of people assume that whatever error there is will favor Trump. It did in 2016 and 2020, after all. But I think it’s folly to look at that and assume that he’ll necessarily get the benefit of the error again.

I genuinely believe that either candidate could win this race. And also that nobody should have much confidence that their candidate will prevail…especially if there’s any assumption factored in that the error will favor Trump again.

This is a good idea

i already know what i'm doing marv. my daughter goes to mizzou she can study anything she wants. god forbid she goes to MO State same holds true. she goes out of state or private i get a say in what she studies. i'm not paying a fortune for soft sciences. sucks but reality with these costs. fortunately i'll only have one going through college at a time

CBS Top 100

-9 was a really good score for me. That's when I was coaching and didn't have the shoulder issue, so I was practicing it at least once a day or more (I had a hoop at home and work). Practicing it helps because you are really laser focused on swishes, not just makes. I remember one of our players saying, "wait, you can try and swish it?" It makes you automatically begin to shoot with more arc and look for that "perfect motion". As a result, a ton more of your "misses" still go in. I'd guess when I was practicing almost daily, I went from a 70s % FT shooter to closer to 85-90%. And, I never thought of myself as a shooter.

Oddly, with my shoulder, throwing is still pretty good unless I'm really trying to thow hard, which I just don't do anymore. Shooting doesn't cause me pain, it just has a "catch" and a bit of weakness that makes my a much worse FT shooter.
We had a specific hoop in our gym in college that made a distinct clicking noise when you swished it and it hit the bottom of the breakaway box. We didn't play this golf game, but my roommate and I would finish many practices with a bet on who could get the most clicks out of 20. The most either of us ever got was 14 (Me). There were many arguments, however, on what constituted a click. Lost in these competitions, and arguments, were any attention on actual misses. Most of these competitions we'd both hit all 20.
