Official Vance /Walz debate thread

I find it hilarious that people who suppor the candidacy of a convicted felon and sex abuser who slept around on at least 3 wives, some of whom were pregnant at the time somehow think people on the other side of the spectrum are going to not vote for his opponent because a her VP candidate may or may not have had a relationship with a Chinese girl...

We know Stormy was telling the truth because she knows about the size (lack of) Trump's pencil dick...KH's opponent is freaking Donald Trump, not Mother Theresa...
Well you certainly expect others to not vote for Trump for his sexual escapades.

Of course, it's different when a Democrat is literally sleeping with the enemy.

Joe Rogan Interview

I don't think Walz could either. After some exposure to Vance, I think he'd do well in that format. The other 3 on the 2 big tickets would do better to stay away. Trump was barely passable from what I've been able to get through so far.
I thought Trump came across as a regular guy. Maybe it's just me, but, other than rambling some, I thought he gave out some good insights and he certainly didn't come off as Hitler.

Zach Edey tonight

and no one agreed with me that B10 officials agreed on how they should officiate ZE. Really almost no other explanation when you look at how consistently his games were called and how he played.
No one? I sure did ..

fwiw - his FTR - free throw rate - jumped 30% points last year from previous, without much change in his game. Sure he was a bit more aggressive but I've never seen anyone else that didn't have a major increase in minutes, role, or skills, come close to that. His FT per 40 also jumped considerably .. for no logical reason other than how the refs managed his games.

It wasn't just B1G he got favorable bullshit calls and non calls ..all the way until they went up against Clingan and UConn.

Early voting in small town Indisna..

I had a funny experience today. Doorbell rang, I answered, and a black gal was standing there with what I could tell was campaign literature, but I couldn't tell who it was for, although I saw Kamala's pic on one brochure.

She asked if I had voted and I said no. She said would you be interested in talking about the candidates. I said sure, but I was voting for Trump.

Big smile came over her face and she looked relieved. I said are you for Trump? She said yes and we talked about her experience in our neighborhood, which has a large population of East Coasters. Said she was not treated very well by Kamala voters. lol

New Yorkers Lining Up for Trump

I misspoke, but the fact is that with the role incumbency plays in HOR elections there are actually very few seats up for grabs. And the prospect of large scale shifts in stat congressional delegations that would affect the results from one House to a new one are pretty low.

The fact that the new House is sworn in before certification does not alter why the arrangement currently favors Pubs tremendously. Each state,no matter size or number of Reps get's a single vote so states that are virtually empty of people like WY,SD,ND, MT etc all get the same number of votes as populous states like NY and CA. There are more Red states in terms of which party controls a respective state's Govt, despite Blue states being more populous...
Seems very fair and impartial.
She's not a journalist. She's the person in charge of the entire Harris Walz campaign...

Early voting in small town Indisna..

Wife and I voted this morning at the Courthouse in our small town...we live close. But on a county road.

Brief wait..ten minutes at most.

Lady working check in said that since they opened on October 8th, 7,000+ people had voted, amounting to more than 10% of the total county population...

And this is a bright red county...

On paper for certain..., unfortunately none of our stats or rankings carry over to the next games scoreboard...

We should beat them..., but I don't think it will be easy... (for all the reasons I mentioned above)...

Hopefully, I'll be wrong, our Defense will play their best game so far and our two QB's, supported by the rest of our Offense, will help put up 31 points each and we'll Win going away 62 - 0..., but I expect it to be closer...

I just hope I can find Fisch on the radio... Did a dry run test today and could barely bring in 105.5 FM... Any old fashioned radio suggestions are appreciated... (Center Grove, Central Indiana area)... Supposedly Fisch lives within a few miles of me you'd think his station would have enough power to reach his home...!
My tuner radio online.... it works, put in station numbers that you want, like 105.1 Bloomington Country and you'll get Fish...

This is a good idea

25k in tax credits for new home buyer is a good plan.

Sorry, but no it's not. It might help the individuals, but it will make the overall cost of housing go up. If you increase demand overnight by providing a down payment to those who otherwise wouldn't have one and therefore couldn't buy a house, prices will rise as will mortgage interest rates. If she wants to address housing properly, she needs to work on the supply side first (as she has said she will). But that has to be done first. Purchasing assistance can come later, once there's a good inventory and pricing is good from a buyer's perspective.

Pick 6

Back in the old days (before you were born) the immigration laws were tailored toward preventing young Mexican males coming over and working in the underground economy, while at the same time offering asylum to political refugees fleeing Central America (the countries we were meddling in at the time). Those conditions have changed drastically. NAFTA impacted part of the problem favorably, by allowing for better jobs becoming available in Mexico. But the rise of narco terrorism and continued political upheaval made things worse in Central America, and instead of it being young male Mexicans crossing the border, we now find whole Central American families coming and claiming asylum -- but not really political asylum, as was intended. The first and simplest thing to address would be to rewrite immigration law to reflect the current conditions by redefining "asylum" and what that entails. It can't just be getting across the border and saying the magic word to the first uniformed person you see.
Not sure how my birthdate is relevant. I largely agree, except that the Central American migrants in the last few years have disproportionately been young, single males.

And that doesn’t even start on the exorbitant increase in the number of people who aren’t even from North or South America.

People crossing oceans to claim “asylum” here, when they have plenty of other options in their own backyard.

Harris vs. Trump 2024

PA has "in person" mail in balloting. You have to stand in line for a while.

"Yes, Pennsylvania does offer early voting, which in Pennsylvania is called in-person mail ballot voting.
You can choose whether to vote on Election Day or during the in-person mail ballot voting period, whichever is easier for you. This can be especially helpful if it would be difficult or not possible for you to vote on Election Day. Voting early at your local election office or other designated location may be less crowded, as well."
It's less than a week before election day. With DeJoy's less than stellar history of making sure mail ballots are returned on time, who would trust their ballot to the USPS a week out from the election?

Meanwhile we know that certain PA Republicans have attempted to make it more difficult to vote via dropbox...

Pick 6

Those changes would have to be contingent on Democrats getting serious about amnesty/ asylum abuse and border security. And I’m not talking about the Lankford bill. I’m talking about serious legislation that locks down the border and stymies the flow of asylum applicants who are really just economic migrants.

Varsity Network always works great.

Woman has never had an original thought in her life.

That wasn't a proposal. Trump signed it. So Harris must be talking about something else.
