Props To Coach Woodson

Coach Woodson showed a lot of character sitting through that abomination of a shooting display. It was air balls from the field and clangers from the free throw line. My high school coach would have been drinking in a bathroom at half time just to be able to sit on the bench during the second half.

I can't remember a D1 game with so many badly executed shots-they must be running shooting drills in practice on 9' rims. The collection of shot mechanics I saw in this game were nothing less than a D1 horror story. Shots that hit the bottom of the rim or bottom of the backboard were high five shots.

Steve Alford isn't walking through the door.

I don't mean coaching !

IU could really use a ''Steve Alford'' player though, problem is if we do find some phenom to elevate us he will leave in a year or two. Imagine having a 2 time 1st team AA from instate that can actually shoot? One that isn't running to the NBA so you could actually build around them? Calbert wouldn't stay 4 yrs in today's world . We were blessed with so much in state talent that fit the system back in those years. I don't see major improvements any time soon. Race is the team's best player , We don't even have a Juwan Morgan on this team.

One more win

That's all I see for IU. A Maryland win is likely, other than that I just don't see it with this team. Par for the course as IU limps to the finish line and gets knocked out first round of B1G tourney. All that equals NIT. I really thought this year would be different, how foolish of me. Crean, Archie, Woodson, really doesn't matter all the same results.

Heads up…

We ain’t making the tourney. Ease your pain. Stop the mental gymnastics. The all aboard is a laugh. We could build a shit brick house but the bubble is bursting with a sour flavor. We don’t have the back court. About time to cash out. Ended the game on a 25 to 7 run. In a game we were starving for. Rinse and repeat.

Please recruit shooters.

Observation from UConn/Xavier game

Several posters have commented on IU's "gutsy" performance against a mediocre 4-8 Northwestern team, while playing with a depleted roster. Minutes played for our starters were - 39, 37, 36, 34, and 34. This was IU's 2nd game in four days, and 3rd game in game in 11 days.

Last night 25th ranked Xavier beat 24th ranked UConn, 74-68. Minutes played by Xavier's starters were - 36, 36, 35, 33, and 30. This was Xavier's 2nd game in three days, and 3rd game in seven days. And btw, UConn had two starters play 40 minutes and 37 minutes.

Official Prediction Thread: IU @ MSU...

and what are we drinking this afternoon?

Ugh. What a terrible turn of events earlier in the week. After some big wins and a couple of rough home losses, we really needed to come out of Evanston with a W. Sadly it didn't happen and I've become numb to this kind of shit happening at this time of year. And look what we have today- a visit to East Lansing, with games against Wisconsin and O$U looming... oh goodie.

It appears the suspended players will be "available" today, but who knows what that means. My guess is they won't start but will get minutes. I don't think it will matter. I suppose it's possible team rallies together and puts together an inspired performance, but I doubt it. We're a 4.5 point dog, it won't be that close.

IU 61
MSU 75

Water for me this afternoon. Going out later so not gonna start drinking mid-afternoon!

What say you Hoosier fans?

GO HOOSIERS!!

+4 +160

MSU playing its worst ball of the year, just a matter of time till they start trending up as March approaches. Izzo is a great bball coach, only comment I got on the guy.

IU will be hungry today. Adversity shapes men. We have some good young men on this team. Still young, but great guys. I’m on the Hoosiers first half, ML, and spread today. Buy stock now!! All aboard.
