Not going to lie, this one hurts. And is seemingly very unexpected as he just did a show 5 days ago, and was set to go out on the road with Karla Bonoff in the not too distant future...
Think of JD (along with Jackson Browne) as honorary Eagles. In fact JD co-wrote classics like New Kid in Town, Doolin-Dalton, Sad Cafe and later Heart of the Matter. from Henley's solo career. In fact he was one of the people in Linda Rondstadt's backing band and dated her for a while. She covered many of his songs, including Faithless Love. He also formed the Souther Hillman Furay Band and in 1981 had a duet with James Taylor on Her Town Too...With the ever relaible Waddy Wachtel and Lee Sklar...
