They sued Marvin Harrison, Jr. for allegedly breaching his NIL deal.

Came out as an ad about a stupid video game. The Chi-Coms obviously hacked me.

A perfect losing record that is. Maryland Eastern Shore went 0-48 on the season. Even the worst team in baseball should be able to at least have one game go their way when you play 48 games. I checked their schedule out and they had just two one-run losses among the 48 losses on the season. It's a record that will probably stand forever. Somehow, they finished 304th in the RPI, with Arkansas Pine Bluff finishing last in the RPI at 305 and they had 9 wins on the season.

Track looks sloppy. Anyone think Mystik Dan can pull off the double? Experts seem skeptical.

I disagreed with practically everything Alice Stewart said. She was a long time GOP Political strategist wotked with some real doozies like Huckabee, Cruz and Bachman and listening to her I would characterize her as "Maga-lite". But she always did a decent job of expressing her opinions whenever I saw her in a CNN segment.

Here she is just 2 or 3 days ago commenting on the red tie brigade flocking to Trump's trial...

She wasn't sick and was relatively young (58) so it's a shock to discover that she passed apparently late this morning. They found her in her garden and the most likely cause is a medical emergency, like a heart attack or stroke. Always a shock when someone dies unexpectedly and you can tell her CNN coleagues are devastated..

Rutgers 12 OSU 1 - OSU could have jumped up to the 6-seed, but their loss gave Purdue the 6-seed.

MSU 11 Neb 6 - The Husker loss gave the outright title to the Illini and it wouldn't have mattered anyway with the Illini beating Purdue later in the day.

Illinois 18 Purdue 10 - The Illini won the B1G title by two games over the Huskers. Purdue was already locked into the 6-seed with the OSU loss earlier in the day.

Minn 4 NW 2 - Both teams saw their season come to an end.

Iowa 16 FIU 4 - Iowa won the non-conference series, 2-1, and they were locked into the 5-seed entering the day.


Final standings:

Iowa's win total includes two wins against non-D-1 teams, while Purdue's win total includes one win against a non-D-1 team. Those wins didn't count toward their RPI rankings.

I think we got as good of a draw as possible. Ill is hot and we don’t have to face Iowa’s pitching. Purdue coming off 5 consecutive losses and Nebraska is beatable. What does anyone else think?

I may have been hacked. I cannot access my premium account. My email is defaulting to this old user name - not the one I’ve been using for years, so trying to change p/w’s does nothing to reconnect to my premium account.

At a minimum, I need to cancel because I’m paying for premium but unable to access it.

A few observations:

1. There have to be dozens of these types of videos. Trump was interviewed by big names for for 40 years before running for President.

2. It's funny how many of these interviewers seemed to think he should run for President in the 80s.

3. He has been consistent in his reading of foreign policy and trade. Don't think that necessarily makes him right, but those policies authentically are what he thinks will work.

4. Didn't know MAGA Australians were a thing.

Young people’s interest in watching sporting events is waning, threatening a business model built on broadcasting rights.


A YouGov report last year found that just 31 per cent of global sports fans aged 18-24 watched live matches, compared with 75 per cent for those 55 and over. Instead, younger viewers were more likely to watch highlights clips or interact with star athletes via social media, while a large portion engage with their preferred sports through video games.

Explanations for these changing habits vary, from rising ticket and TV subscription costs which have priced younger people out, to a preference for short-form content, or a simple overload of other forms of entertainment that did not exist when older fans got their first taste of live sport.
Whatever the cause, such trends threaten the long-term viability of a business model built on multibillion-dollar live broadcasting deals and have set off alarm bells across the industry.

Are we seeing the beginning of end of a golden era in sports/broadcasting?

The all important question that everyone has always wondered has been answered by a Fort Wayne judge.

The winner will lock in to the 3-seed and the loser will have either the 4 or 5 seed depending on the results of other games and the potential tie breakers. Of the teams at the top, IU has the tie breaker over Purdue and Iowa.

It will be RHP Brayden Risedorph on the mound for IU with an ERA of 8.19 in 40.2 IP and a WHIP of 1.65 with an OBA of .271. The batting lineup is the same as it has been to start the series.

It will be RHP Dylan Vigue on the mound for Michigan with an ERA of 7.64 in 53.0 IP and a WHIP of 1.96 with an OBA of .294.

It is 71 and mostly cloudy with the chance of rain at 47 pct. The wind is not much with it being out of the WSW at 6 mph with gusts only to 8 mph. The radar shows rain/storms around Bedford moving just south of Lake Monroe toward the NE, and it looks like it will miss the Bloomington area.

Risedorph Kd the leadoff batter to start the game. A liner to Taylor got the 2nd out. Risedorph got another K to retire the side and Risedorph was off to a great start to the game as he put them down in order.

B1st:

The red-hot Taylor leads off. Taylor grounded out for one out. Pyne Kd for the 2nd out.

Mitchell singled on a full count to put a runner on with two outs. Cerny walked to put two on.

Brenczewski flied out to end the inning.

End of 1st: IU 0 Michigan 0

Last year Palou and others hit a 234. I remember back when Arie and Emo were smoking around the track. Arie with a 236. Amazing that these speeds are back.

The IU loss yesterday, combined with Illinois taking game 1 at Purdue means we can no longer get a share of the B1G title. And Nebraska winning at MSU means that the best we can do now is a 3 seed, I'm pretty sure. In fact, I think if we beat Michigan Saturday, we would, in fact, be the 3 seed in Omaha.
