B1G Tourney - IU moves on with a 14-7 win over OSU...

First pitch is around 3:40 and IU is the "visiting team" in this game.

RHP Connor Foley is on the mound for IU and overall, he has an ERA of 3.81 in 56.2 IP and a WHIP of 1.22 with an OBA of .152. In conference play only, he had an ERA of 2.93 in 27.2 IP and a WHIP of 1.14 and an OBA of .138. I haven't seen or heard anything on Brenczewski and I don't know if it's a coach's decision, but he is out of the lineup today as the DH with Wiggins replacing him. The batting order is Taylor, Pyne and Mitchell at the top of the order, with Cerny, Tibbitts and Mathison in the middle of the order, and Oliver, Wiggins (DH), and Stadler at the bottom of the order.

RHP Gavin DeVooght is on the mound for OSU and overall, he has an ERA of 4.22 in 42.2 IP and a WHIP of 1.41 with an OBA of .241. In conference play only, he had an ERA of 5.79 in 28.1 IP and a WHIP of 1.50 with an OBA of .257.

"Trump never knows when to shut up and Biden can't tell the truth to save his life" WOW WOW WOW Perfectly stated per usual from a VIABLE 3RD PARTY CND

"Neither one of them knows exactly what the average American person goes through out here just to get by and pay bills."

Love this from a viable third party candidate who brought us JOY - far more so than either biden or trump - divisive all the time. The challenge, among many, is that his campaign only has $1,400 at the moment. Any guesses? And there's only one person he truly HATES - justifiabily in my INFORMED opinion

Does a tiger change its stripes. Not Biden

old mushy peas is woke to the end

Wow! Illinois, Nebraska and Iowa all facing elimination games right out of the gate...

Things sure aren't going like the analysts thought they would. Michigan just bumped off Brecht and Iowa in 10 innings, 3-2, after Iowa walked in the winning Michigan run. Michigan was the higher seed at No. 4, but with Brecht on the mound, a person would have to have favored Iowa in that game. Brecht held Michigan down and he pitched into the 8th inning, but Iowa couldn't generate any offense for him.

Illinois and Iowa face each other in their elimination game.

The latest in Trump's unending blizzard of dangerous lies

"They were authorized to shoot me!"

Aided and amplified by media allies and sycophants Watters, Hannity and Bannon, Trump now falsely claims that the FBI was “ready to take me out” during the August 2022 Mar-A-Lago search. Never mind that Trump wasn’t even there. Never mind that the FBI was following standard protocol in executing the search. Never mind that a legal document related to the search included a policy statement, that is the norm in all FBI searches, on the use of deadly force, which says officers may resort to lethal force only when the subject of such force poses an “imminent danger of death or serious physical injury” to an officer or another person.

“FBI agents specifically sought to avoid a confrontation with Trump, choosing a day when Trump would not be at the property and giving the Secret Service a heads-up,” The Post previously reported.

A former president falsely accusing his successor and rival of posing a threat to his life is without precedent in modern U.S. history. The comments marked a sharp escalation of Trump’s baseless attacks on Biden as the former president faces 88 criminal charges across four indictments in federal and state courts. Trump has frequently accused Biden of weaponizing the legal system against him in coordination with the Justice Department and local prosecutors. There is no evidence of such coordination.”

When you think he can’t go lower, he always proves you wrong.

A chicken and egg problem

Does being crazy cause people to be extreme left wingers, or does being an extreme left winger cause people to be crazy?

Here is an interesting article about extreme social justice advocates and mental health.

Read the whole thing.

While this is not a totally binary And there is overlap, my observation of what is written by politicians, pundits, and even people in this board, there are more cognitive distortions on the left than on the right. Evidence of that is the left’s catastrophization of so many issues. The link confirms this.

That’s not to say the extreme right doesn’t have its issues, it does. But extreme leftism has found considerable traction in academia which is a big influencer in government K-12 education and public opinion.
