Zelensky

Volodymyr Zelensky - - a profile in courage.

In response to a reported US offer of evacuation, Zelensky replied: "I need ammunition, not a ride."

God bless this guy and his family.

Check out this 100 second video.

He put Putin in a box. Zelensky can’t be killed or captured and he can’t be free. Looks like Putin stepped in a huge pile.

One day he is the typical corrupt Ukrainian politician using the legal system against his opponents and the next day a hero. I believe his heart is in the right place, but the reality is that the next day after the war finishes the squabbles over what is mine and what is yours resume. There are no clean actors in Ukraine. It's as corrupt as Russia.

Is he not an actual reformer? I thought it was the last guy that was so corrupt (Poroshenko?)

Speaking of the last guy, he was on the news talking shit about Russia and handling a gun staying to fight.

Maybe some stuff does elevate beyond politics.

No he is not a reformer. He is tied in with one faction of oligarchs. You can google about it. This is like what happened at the fall of the Soviet union. The leaders align to kick out Russia then they resume their squabbles. There are no clean parties.

His 'public' is Russia. He is extremely popular in Russia, 80+%.....

Doesn't give a **** what Don Lemon or Rachel Mandow's handlers think...
the Winds of War are all blowing in Putin’s face and they are becoming stronger. Even Germany has approved sending lethal weapons to fight the Russians.

If we can get our Psych Ops act together, this could be huge.

You actually believe he was elected fairly? OMG, when it’s over he’ll be the Russian President for 25 years!

No wonder we all here think you’re a crackpot.

Never, ever posted about any election in Russia.

Laughing at morons like you is one of the main reasons I visit this board.

You speak for everyone now ?

At least 70% of the public support Putin. Double that percentage dislikes Ukrainians.

Given their soviet history I doubt their perception of the world is too accurate. We’ll see if those 40 and under, who don’t know or particularly remember much if the Soviet Union wise up after this invasion and turn on their government.

They will not revolt or anything of the sort. Who has the arms? People are not stupid.

Which is insane because Zelensky is a jew.
Zelensky is Jewish. But we do know that Nazis are active in Ukraine. The Azov battalion is active in Mariupol. I am Jewish and have traveled extensively. Ukraine is the only place I have ever experienced racial abuse do to my non-Slavic appearance. On more than one occasion. If not for speaking Russian I may have been beaten on the street of Kiev. They beat African students for sport. It's on the news on a weekly basis. I am very hesitant about our activities in arming Ukraine. The only reason I'm generally supportive is because I believe in state sovereignty.

On the subject of Psych Ops, what about dropping leaflets with Pizza Celentano and McDonald coupons wherever the Russian troops are gathering ?

Once in these favorite fast food restaurants give the troops vodka in a party atmosphere complete with music and dancing girls. By giving the Russian troops this experience, Psych Ops experts predict 43% of the Russian soldiers will be requesting Ukraine citizenships by next Monday.

You’re a disgusting human being if you can’t see the difference between what is right and what is wrong here.

I’m nominating this for understatement of the year. Lol. What’s toastedbread even talking about with that comparison?
It's a simple point. If Russians believe they are facing an existential threat they also have an enormous tolerance for death.

I think you’re losing some credibility on that one. It’s true Ukrainians have absolutely legitimate reasons to despise Stalin and resent Russians in perpetuity.

The Russians don’t have that with the Ukrainians and my understanding is that Russians actually have an affinity for their Slavic brothers contrary to your assertion.

True enough. That doesn’t apply to this situation where hundreds of thousands of Russians are on the verge of fighting a war that benefits only one person, pusillanimous Putin.
