Why Is there a Shortage of Baby Formula?

Baby’s need their formula! President Biden you need to address this problem immediately.
What I want to know is why are pallets of formula being sent down to the border and mothers who want to buy formula can't get it? This shortage is serious. Kids could actually die because of this.
Babies up here are American citizens!

I am sure if Biden said "nope, not going to fulfill our legal requirements", then that would go over well. Maybe if he withheld it in exchange for dirt on the. Trumps like his predecessor did with Ukraine then that would have been awesome lol

What I don't understand is how Biden can't seem to get an emergency airlift of baby formula from the EU...
He's got all those empty planes returning from their Ukrainian arms drops, why not fill em up with boxes of baby formula for the return trip... It's not like money has ever been a concern for this group... How much formula could you buy for $4 billion (a tenth of what we're about to give to the Ukrainians...)...

Turns out the pics weren't just of Applesauce, but included pallets and pallets of powdered milk. Which is not Formula, is not in short supply and is manufactured by Nestle...

No, just going by the multiple articles I read, including the one posted. The main point I was making is that the reason for the shortage was that the company stopped production, which is the case.

Did you miss the part about the whistleblower report being released the past few weeks? If you combine all of the fairly numerous various whistleblower complaints vs Abbott, along with the fact that they have lobbied for reduced safety regulations, it's a little strange to blindly accept these tweets as factual and exculpatory...

From what I saw the FDA was noncommittal about what the Abbott spokesman claimed...
