On the flip side, if Congress wants to investigate Fauci, Cheney, or others on her select committee, they are stripped of their 5th Amendment immunity.
It prevents everything, investigations, charges, and trials. It doesn’t prevent congressional investigations.
I think Cheney, et al, are safe from any public investigations. If you're DJT why would you want to publicize the Barr "bullshit" testimony again?
I agree. Congress should not kick that dog. But if they do, Cheney will have to testify about how she suborned perjury.

Questioning Trump’s involvement in that day was completely legitimate and not a political witch hunt.
Conversely, Trump’s DOJ drumming up charges on the people who investigated him sure seems like going after political opponents. What crime might Liz Cheney be guilty of?

I totally agree there was no crime. I think Biden pardoning her and the January 6 committee was to avoid the possibility of a show trial circus of retribution.
Without the pardon the possibility of that happening was far from zero.

My ultimate point is that it doesn’t matter if there was a crime. Trump has stated he wants an FBI probe of Liz Cheney.
I don’t believe the preemptive pardon is to give her cover of any supposed crimes Joe Biden knew about; I think it was to avoid a joke of an investigation/probe that would try to validate Trump’s involvement and whitewash January 6.
There was a time when politicians held each other in respect regardless of party. They didn't attack each other to the extent they do today with threats of investigations and declaring so-in-so should be in jail.
Suspect in the past, they held back while thinking "There but for the grace of God go I". In other words, what gives me the right to judge and accuse others when I am not without flaws.
In today's world of politics calling each other liars, crooks, and felons is so commonplace along with investigations and impeachments that it isn't any wonder We the People have taken partisan politics to an extreme or given up on both parties.
In the midst of all this the Supreme Court has granted presidents immunity. Furthermore, as presidents leave office, they pardon fellow pols and supporters by the droves.
Finally, with all the politically inspired investigations the legislators don't have time to scrutinize spending and find solutions to problems such as immigration and rising health care costs along with shoring up Social Security for the long pull.

One positive is they’re showing everyone who the criminals are. The Democratic Party is trash and filled with communists. They need to set fire to it and rebuild something that’s respectable.

One parties ideas are distinctly better. Also, I agree Dem voters are naive, but the leaders of the party are not. There is a reason they don’t endorse Bitcoin, it limits their power. The main objective is control/power, helping “some” people is a distant second.

It would be interesting to see Fauci investigated. A lot of what the MAGA crowd are up in arms about regarding his direction during COVID happened under the first Trump Administration.

I don’t know if she committed any crimes or not. I don’t believe it mattered to the incoming administration. I think they wanted her investigated regardless.
But to your point, if there was some dark nefarious plot Liz Cheney was somehow involved in, then she shouldn’t have been pardoned. I don’t believe that’s the case, but that’s for all the internet conspiracy theorists to debate now…
I don’t doubt what Zuckerberg said to Rogan about people in the Biden administration calling facebook and yelling at them. They shouldn’t have done that.
That said, when Rogan asked him to expand on that or provide proof or tapes of it, he didn’t have much proof that anything actually happened or changed. At that point, Zuckerberg had nothing to lose by saying something along the lines of “the Biden Administration asked us to do X and we felt we had no choice to comply.”
I actually wouldn’t mind Congress pulling on that thread so that Zuckerberg would have to show receipts. And if that did reveal clear evidence that the Biden administration forced Meta’s hand, hold whoever did it accountable.
