I was just comparing their mpg so far and Bryant had played in more games and had more minutes logged. Ware has all-world skills, but I don't know that he has the demeanor and work ethic to maximize them. Hope he does, he was just so laid back it seemed.

Durant is laid back .. and often high AF even during games, hasn't hurt him one bit. Being mellow in personality isn't a sign of being unmotivated.
I agree that Rice & Carlyle look like gamers.
Ballo certainly has his limitations. The Pringle kid (#5) from SC matched him on rebounds and points. Ballo had his hands full with him the last 10 minutes. The kid was a part-timer for Bama last year, although someone said he had a good tourney.
After the first two games I was really wondering how Ballo was named DP of the Year in the PAC 12 last year. He got beat several times by guys 3-4 inched shorter.
What I think I saw from him Saturday is that he is a better team defender than he is as an individual. He takes up a lot of space in the lane and showed pretty good anticipation toward their drives. Being a space eater is important because, as you say, neither Mgbako nor MR are very aggressive.
As to the results of this game.......SC was picked #11 preseason in the 16 team SEC, and lost to North Florida at home in game 1, but I do think they will finish in the top 1/2 of that conference. They competed hard and had some skills.
I hate the mass substitution, and it once again came back to bite us in the ass. Mbako was off to a great start, and he never did get back in the same groove. I sure wish that, at the least, when a shooter has the hot hand he be allowed to stay in a few minutes longer.
That said, I don't think a lot of teams have 6-8 guys as good as Galloway, Tucker, and Goode. Tucker looks more like a top 35 kid than a top 15. He looks like he'll be in college a few years. But he's got some skills and a good attitude, and could be a very good college player by year 3.
I like Tucker a lot. He is an athlete that has a nack for scoring. Also really like his defensive potential. He will be battling Kanaan for our best defender Id say by end of next year (really like the idea of those two and Rice sticking around).
Woody is gonna Woody with subs. Bank on it around 12-13 minute mark people are coming out, no matter how they are playing. Super annoying for sure. What he did do was not play Cupps and Hatton. Just playing 8, and our 8, is not gonna hurt us much. Gallo coming in for Malik or Ballo first I like the most.
I sat right behind SC. They aren't good and the coach acted like it was a 3rd grade scrimmage, Ive never seen such a nonchalant approach. Ill bet you the don't finish top 1/2 of the SEC
Balo is half as good as Ware slow can't shoot overpaid by Woodson because he can't recruit.

For about the 9th time...his name is spelled Ballo. Why are you only quantifying his production by points scored? Hasn't it been the concensus among Woodson haters that the bigs score too much,and guards not enough? So...you are going against the original argument? Why has your focus shifted from Woodson....to Ballo? You are attacking a guy,who had 13 rebounds, and 6 blocks. Please make it make sense.
It's only about 3 years, to people who are casual "fans". To people with a discerning thought process, not an emotional one, and the ability to analyze correctly, it's about this year, as the previous years do not portray an accurate depiction of the current state.
You can't say IU is going to be bad because they were last year when Woodson was the coach, and then say S. Carolina sucks, when they were in the final four last year, and they still have the same coach. Do you not see how you just killed your own argument, with your own words?
