The judge decided not to award a sentence or other punishment because Trump is about to be President. He telegraphed this several days ago.
I don’t think the case should have gone to trial, but it did.
Also, Nixon was about to be indicted when Ford pardoned him. Clinton was disbarred because of his perjury.
