Way too early, but who will be GOP candidate for President in 2028?

She's a Greek soup?
She's spicy, to be sure:

Second term presidents should decline to name successors. That's just common knowledge. You stay out of it until the primary has been locked up, then you endorse.

I really doubt Trump actually possesses that common knowledge. He probably did it just to be petty.
You are trying too hard. Trump said “way too early” in almost the same breath.

I wouldn't mind a monarchy, as long as it's one of those late medieval court drama ones. Like, Jr. takes the throne, but then he gets sick and ends up in a coma, and it turns out Ivanka poisoned him and maneuvers for Jared to be regent, and eventually they convince the Popewhatever the Jewish version of the Pope is to declare the throne vacant and award it to Jared.
The Midwest remembers.....

That's true, but how long can that cult sustain itself? It's got to be exhausting to be paranoid and angry all the time.
Also, he’ll be 82 at the end of this term. He’s not a beacon of health by any stretch. I think the MAGA cult is largely rudderless without their king.

Tribalists never learn.

You sound just like the Dems in the run up to Nov. 16. "Yay, Trump is the candidate! No way we can lose!"
Kamala, Newsome, etc will not be the candidate. Newsome will always be the bridesmaid and Kamala had her chance and was beaten fair and square. She isn't Richard Nixon who lost to Kennedy and then got better by 1968. Nixon lost to Kennedy because Kennedy was Kennedy. Kamala lost because she a weak candidate who ran a stupid campaign. It is a shame Nikki Haley didn't get further--she had my vote over Biden or Harris.

I have no idea who the democrats will run. Chris Murphy feels like he is taking a larger role in the democrat side of things in the senate. I don't want another woman running--not because they are women, but because they have been beaten twice. I don't think the dems have a candidate, and they now have to have a platform that must be significantly altered from previous years. I don't mind Andy Bashear. You don't win the governorship of Kentucky as a democrat without being a moderate. I'm all for that. I think Shapiro is of similar make up

Trump could be the candidate if they change the law and he would win. As for the democrats, they better run Andy from Kentucky if they want to get some Republicans on their side.

I voted for Andy and I'm a Trump guy.
