The Prez loser is always the leading candidate for like three years after the election. It means nothing. She won't be the nominee. I'll gladly put money on that.

Kamala, Newsome, etc will not be the candidate. Newsome will always be the bridesmaid and Kamala had her chance and was beaten fair and square. She isn't Richard Nixon who lost to Kennedy and then got better by 1968. Nixon lost to Kennedy because Kennedy was Kennedy. Kamala lost because she a weak candidate who ran a stupid campaign. It is a shame Nikki Haley didn't get further--she had my vote over Biden or Harris.
I have no idea who the democrats will run. Chris Murphy feels like he is taking a larger role in the democrat side of things in the senate. I don't want another woman running--not because they are women, but because they have been beaten twice. I don't think the dems have a candidate, and they now have to have a platform that must be significantly altered from previous years. I don't mind Andy Bashear. You don't win the governorship of Kentucky as a democrat without being a moderate. I'm all for that. I think Shapiro is of similar make up

Christopher Hitchens for write in. Dead or not, he's still better than 3/4 of the alleged democrat candidates.
Scuttlebutt at the time was that Shapiro balked.
It makes sense. He's smart enough to know that he's quickly developed a national profile, and also to know the quickest way to damage that would be to tie himself to a losing effort.
