What really grinds my gears is that this IU team, with all its frustration, bad play, low effort, and shortcomings, is in my estimation 5 better played minutes out of 160 against Maryland, Purdue, Michigan, and UCLA from being alone in 4th place in the Big Ten and two games back of first going into this stretch run to close the season.


Also those better played 5 minutes and wins against the top half of the conference would have placed this IU team in a position to string together wins to end the season and secure a probable 5 or 6 Tournament seed, if not higher.

Right. We had a chance to move the program forward last year but decided to run it back and make the fans suffer through another lackluster season. To me, this season was tanked when that decision was made last year.

That's what happens when you have a poor plan and strategy that is filled with inefficiencies. No matter how talented players were, they were doomed to fail. It's like having a pitcher who can throw 100+ with bad mechanics. They're talented, but not going to get you very many strikes.
